I like this, I know we can vote for up to 3, but I went with 1, just WSP. If they are the jam headliner, I'm okay with that. I would rather have Furthur, but that's fine. Some of the others I wouldn't mind, but I just don't want them as Headliners.
Green Day because they were my favorite band in college and I have never seen them live. I still enjoy their music but I would never pay to see them on their own. I saw that movie Bullet in a Bible where they played for thousands of people in the UK and I think they would make a great headliner. I would be very excited to see them at Bonnaroo.
KISS because they were my brother's favorite band when we where in high school and I grew to love them. I was going to see them at the MN state fair last year but decided that I couldn't afford it. I don't think I would want them as a headliner but it would be cool to see them at Roo. A late night set on Which might be neat.
Finally, I choose The Eagles because my mom's favorite song is Desperado. She would be really excited about seeing The Eagles. I don't mind their music but they can be kind of boring. I think I would still enjoy them though.
The only people on the list that I would be disappointed with are Lady Gaga and Kings of Leon. I took a nap during KOL's set last year. Can't stand Lady Gaga and I don't understand why she is popular. Maybe if I dress up like a clown and dance around pretending to sing, I can be famous too.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.
I hope I don't have to lower my expectations THIS much.
^^this.
But, if I absolutely had to choose...
Friday: KISS Saturday: The Eagles Sunday: Widespread Panic
And maybe round it out with a late-night by Gaga. Because I'm a masochist like that.
Eminem was actually fantastic when I saw him... 10 years ago. His music has changed a lot since then, and I don't like anything he's done since the 8 Mile soundtrack (and even on that he only did a couple songs). At this point in his career, I have absolutely zero desire to see him live. "I'm Not Afraid" is just cheesy, generic Top 40 bullhonkey.

I went with Van Halen, The Eagles, and KISS. You can see my background in Classic Rock. I would have said Green Day over KISS, but I saw them a while back and wasn't particularly impressed, and I bet KISS would at least be a spectacle.

I saw the Eagles at Austin City Limits over the Summer, and I personally thought that they blew. Personally, I find Hotel California to be the most annoying song of all time. I mean, c'mon, it's the same fucking chords progression being played over and over and over again.

I picked Gaga- supposed to be a good stage show, I'd check it out for the spectacle Green Day- loved them in middle school. Dookie is nostalgic for me. If they just played longview or like 2 other songs off that album I'd be happy Eminem- loved him in highschool. I'd actually really like to see him still
I'd also take WSP for that matter. TBH I like some of these guys better than the bigger ones being speculated. All the others in this poll would be nap times for me though.

It looked like The Eagles were gonna run away with this at first, but now Eminem and Green Day have caught up. Eagles and Lady Gaga are hot on their heels though! Poor KoL and KISS

Eminem wouldn't be lowered expectations I don't think....I think he'd be where Jay-Z was anyways, Late Night post-headliner What. Idk if he heads... and if he did, I'd be okay with that.
