2 years ago I did the RV thing. I figured I had put in my dues and that it was time to see what all the fuss was about shittin in high cotton. well, I wont ever get an RV again. an RV is like chap stick... once you use it, you need it. I have never had a more unbearable Roo than that year. I was wondering if I was getting old or pussified... but really, it was allowing yourself instant gratification and denying your body to acclimate.
sure, even a saharan nubian would feel its too hot on those high noon 102 in the shade times, but otherwise a good day of getting acclimated on thursday is all you need to beat the heat IMO. the year i took the RV, i was whining, winded, uncomfortable and spent most of my time daydreaming about the comforts of my A/C haven. if you dont have that, then you dont worry about it, and you pretty much get over the heat factor pretty quickly.
