I have a strong feeling that this is going to be an epic night. For those of you who are planning on staying in a hotel, if you're strapped for cash, there are cheap hostels with availability. I think that's what I'm doing. Some were about $49 for a night.
"GENERAL ONSALE FEBRUARY 11TH AT BOWERYPRESENTS.COM AND TICKETMASTER.COM. CHECK LCD WEBSITE AND PITCHFORK FOR FAN PRE-SALE MID WEEK, DETAILS POSTED ON TUESDAY 8TH." Sounds like it will be online
I need floor tickets for this show
LCD Facebook claims New York presale
We are happy to announce that at 10.00am on Wednesday 9th February there will be a sale of a limited amount of General Admission Tickets at The Mercury Lounge Box Office 217 E. Houston, New York, NY 10022. These tickets will not carry a Ticketmaster charge. Strictly limited to two per person. First come first served!!!!!!
If anyone can find a link or evidence of this that'd be awesome for those of us actually in the city. I can't find it on the facebook/twitter.
its pretty unlikely we are all going to get GA tickets... hell, its unlikely that I'm going to get one
i'd like to be surrounded by like minded folks... even if i dont have the absolute best seat in the house. if i dont get GA, ill probably buy 4 or 6 $50 tickets and hope for the best when it comes to inforoo resale
considering the amount of people i know coming from far and wide, its starting to seem likely this will mostly sell out...

I also looked on the facebook and couldn't find this. I'd love a link because I plan on driving out to NYC quite early tomorrow.

I'm getting so excited. Couldn't fall asleep last night cause I was just so excited thinking about it..
I really hope I'm able to get GA tix... I will be sad if I fly all the way to NYC to see their last show, but cannot dance because I'm confined to a seat.
And what's this about brooklyn brewery? good brews there I imagine? Is it walking distance from MSG?
that explains the presale... sort of - at least, it makes me think they are doing it, but dont want it to be a mobscene, so they will announce it last minute and made an oopsy with the initial announcement.

If the Mercury Lounge thing is real...
I wonder how early people will get there? And will it be a big street sleepover party, like a throwback to the good old days of pre-internet ticket buying? The days before clickclickclick, when you had to really WANT the tix and had to WORK for them
And I wonder if scalpers will hire bums to buy tix for them, the way they used to back in those days? So many questions, such a nostalgic scene

Meh.. my anticipated schedule has me getting out of matt stone's mormon musical about 2 hours before the show, and MSG is only a mile away fromthe theatre. I think I'll be sticking around the area, so no brooklyn brew for me..
BTW I have 4 hours to kill AFTER the show. Can anyone recommend some good bars/clubs in the NYC area? (preferably within walking distance or a short cab ride)

I'm thinking maybe they posted it earlier than they wanted and then took it down. I have a screen shot on my phone. Will attach shortly.
Gracias. I see now that they're having an online presale, do you guys think the onsite presale is the way to go, or the online?
i'm going to suck it up and go on site. i'm scared that i'll be stuck with a crummy seat if i try to go through ticket master. i really want to get a GA ticket, i'm just not sure how early or how many people are going to be at the Mercury Lounge for the presale. i think i'm going to end up getting into nyc at like 430-500 am. i figure that will be early enough, but i don't know how crazy people are.

I'm planning on arriving to nyc around 7 AM... I think this will be early enough. I really hope. I always fear the worst.
Hey NYC peeps, is it worth saving 125$ to fly into Westchester, or should I stick with LGA?
you can get a bus for 2 bucks that goes from the airport to white plains rr station. then from there it's just the train to grand central. i think when i took it all in all it was like 14 bucks and it was very easy. so if you don't mind a little extra travel and/or waiting i would say it's well worth it.
The Airlink bus runs every half-hour (7am-9pm) from White Plains Airport to the White Plains RR station. From the White Plains RR Station, Metro-North trains (Harlem Line) to Grand Central Terminal depart at least every half-hour. Airlink Bus $2 + Metro-North train (one-way peak) $14 = $16.
