I am convinced that this pre-sale thing selling out so fast was just to create hype
If over 20,000 tickets sell out in mere minutes on Friday, I will be really surprised
Who even knows if they're selling all the tickets? I could see selling the 100s behind the band but not really the upper levels but I guess we'll all see.
It is however the last gig by a local band and one that's extremely hot right now. So I wouldn't say it's not unlikely to sell out fast.

It's an international event. They have a dedicated fanbase, and people will be flying in from everywhere. I'm pretty sure it will sell out. Whether or not it sells out Fri, I don't know. I'm certain the floor will sell out in minutes tho, if not seconds like this time

I was following what was happening via twitter last night and I saw multiple people claim that there was already a line by 10:00 pm. I figured it would be a wasted to make an 8 hour round trip and walk away empty handed.
Fast forward to this morning when people said that the first person in line was there at 3:45. By the time I got there I would have been the 4th. And then I was beaten out by the quicker typers and clickers out there this morning.
Mad at myself for making the wrong decision. Trying to find a silver lining. I'm going with the fact that I could have contracted some sort of freak virus from standing in negative degree weather for 6 hours. That will have to soothe my depression for now.

I'm in the same boat as you, brother. I was going to go down but it's a 2 hour trip for me, I would have had to leave at 5 AM, which I had planned on doing, but then woke up at 430 and found a facebook message from my lady saying she had a test she forgot about today and couldn't go, so I wouldn't have even been able to get the 4 tickets we wanted. So I went back to bed and set an alarm for 9... kicking myself in the ass so hard.
"1500 for a single ticket? Fuck you, scalpers. You are parasites. I HATE you." Straight from @lcdsoundsystem on Twitter. Kind of want to tell him should have done will call only but at the Garden that would be a clusterfuck. Maybe wristbands?
