Well we should still do I shirt with a lineup but obviously can't use his design. I do have an idea though. ITM expressed a desire to create a shirt. I bet he would let us use the format from his fake lineup this year and put together something for us. What do you think ITM?

We can't just not use his design, we can't use the idea for his design. I offered to collaborate as Jess suggested a few pages ago but he refused in a rather vulgar manner. It isn't a huge deal, kids. All of us who work on designs put more time and effort than is readily apparent. Mine went from leaf to sketchpad to scanner to research photos to vector images to the composition that I posted, I promise that it took more than a few minutes. If it doesn't get used, it doesn't.

Well I do not think he has a copyright on the Bonnaroo lineup which was the source his original idea. I think a new design using our names in the place of the lineup is not something that would be actionable. I am sorry shit went down but it was a good concept, and I think we should run with it.
Either way, it is definitely time to move on with this...so we can have an awesome Inforoo shirt.
I agree. Like a lot of people here I liked the line up idea. Bacon and JHO have already put a lot of work in it compilling names. I'm sure someone is working on a version as we speak. AND there's gonna be two winners... two prizes.... and two shirts to buy!!!
Take the ball and go home syndrome 101 again...sigh.
Does a substantial group still want the Rooster Lineup format on another design? Cause it sounds to me like OTHER ROOSTERS contributed SIGNIFICANTLY to the design of the shirt (i.e. putting together the lineups..primary and alternate..helping getting the logistics together and permissions from all the Roosters involved etc.) and all that is really needed is a primary design vehicle (i.e. new T design) to display it all on...since all Leno did was come up with THAT...so if someone will step in and come up with THAT basic concept that is enough different from Leno initial design so as not to infringe on his intellectual property and copyright while still incorporating the work of the other Roosters work we can still pull this off...I'm willing to lend whatever help I can in coming up with basically T-shirt templates/color schemes to hold the names...fonts and colors for the names and some logo on the front of the shirt though I could surely use the help of an accomplished graphic artist to come up with a cool original graphic for the front of the shirt since I think that is the REAL hook here....and I am NOT, repeat NOT a graphic ANYTHING...thought I can do a pretty fair garanamil match when pressured ....who's in for this?? I need MAJOR HELP PEEPS!!
I swear, the drama that happens on boards like these - I don't want to know what happened, but I think it sucks big hairy stinky dogs to leave the whole board in a lurch.
However I also think we have some major skilled folks who can create a new lineup shirt. No skills in that arena, but I will send creativity ~~vibes~~ out to you folks!
^^^I love that idea but I think the line up is an issue now that we had a hissy fit. I think a line up of some sort is certainly doable and I want to thank all of the adults on this site who continue to play well with others for working so hard on this.
Also, don't forget to grab that Cafe Press Groupon deal, I don't know how long it will last

Well, we WERE moving on...so lets talk shirt designs and not drama, my friends! Keep this thread ON track, lets not get back off of it. The idea of a design on the front and the lineupish idea on the back will work out too (I think Bama said it up there?).....there are still good ideas and designs on here, and we just need someone to come up with something we all love. Let's stick to idea posting, and ditch the negativity that is creeping back in.
I am on here every day the past few weeks, for long periods of time. I worked last night and had some spare time to post some. I check this thread often. How did I miss this!!? Oh well. I say Edit design is not solely his own. I liked it and where it came from. The "line-up" style template is used often. Change the colors, different font, add some lines/bars, change the stars, then throw in a unicorn and sprinkle it with some of VVs sweet sugar maple and "BAM!" we got a T-shirt. Maybe put at the end of the line up, "And many, many more..." or something like that, so to not appear like we are exclusive . Okay not that simple, probably right, I wish I had some computer graphics skills, besides goggle sketchup.
Would it be too complicated to maybe have the in memoriam tree with the lineup along the branches or in the leaves or something? It might be too much and hard to read, but it's a thought.
I haven't heard from ITM but have heard he is working on a different design. Is there anyone else who has enough Photoshop skill to put a lineup together
