I haven't been to to Roo since 2008 but they had this delicious pastries called Samoas? They were stuffed with Indian spiced beef, chicken and vegetables. We are heading back this year with a group of people and been telling everyone about them and hoping there were still being served. Does anybody know. Cant wait for all the sweet goodness The Roo has to offer.

maybe im quacked, but i keep thinking samoa... the country samoa, which is near the philippines (relatively)... where they speak tagolog... which sounds like tag-a-long (ish)..
Look into inexpensive Gewürztraminers or semi/off dry rieslings - they are spicy Asian's best friend.
And are you still coming out here for the Phish run? There are seriously 19 Pho places so close to my house that I can hit them with a rock.
I don't usually like riesling but I will try some on Thursday for our CNY blowout. Pho is good stuff in the winter, but we eat so much chinese soup at home I do not really want to go out and pay for it anymore . I don't know about this year for Portland seems like the NY LCD trip is going to hit me in the budget pretty hard.
Samosas are incredible. I've made them at home a few times and they always turn out amazing.
I'm always slightly surprised at how heavily people associate these as a "Roo food", though. Unlike the garlic grilled cheese or the pesto mozzadilla, which I've only ever seen on the farm, samosas are available at pretty much any Indian restaurant in the country.
