So lifes gonna suck for ya'll when BS plays Which, huh?
Suck is a strong word for getting the chance to see BS. We'll see how badly BK and BS conflict before I get my panties in a bunch. I guess it's going to happen in some degree.
BS on which would be sweet. It would never happen, but I'd love it if they got a more prime an dlonger spot on which. But they won't too many people want to see them for them to be on which.
Bonnaroo themselves couldn't make anymore conflicts, that is the scariest schedule ever.
You mad bro? Seems almost every time you post in this thread its some negative nancy remark about another member's honest attempt at creating a mock schedule. You must be mad bro!
Naa, I'm not mad "Bro", I just get enjoyment out of being a total jerk to retards on these message boards. I basically just say the things I'd like to say in real life but don't because obviously, people hate it. Then again, I hate people.

I have a much easier time thinking of BS, BK, and Eminem all playing in some order on the main stage before midnight than I do thinking of the 4th or 5th highest billed acts on the lineup playing the Which stage. I guess it would be similar to Weezer (#7) doing it last year, while the 9th, 3rd and 4th acts played the main stage, but I just don't see any reason they can't all play the main stage while acts like Mumford and Sons and Krauss and Union Station play the Which stage.
Buffalo Springfield vs. The Black Keys... ugggh, that's going to be a rough one. I don't even want to begin to think who will be in the tents. If it does go down that way, I will be at Buffalo Springfield; they're a much rarer get and I've built that show up way too much in my mind to miss it. The Keys are incredible, don't get me wrong - but they're a relatively young band with many years ahead of them, so I know I'll get other chances to see them. Hopefully they stagger them a bit so I can catch some of each.

I think it will go
WHAT Black Keys 730-9 Eminem 10-12
WHICH Buffalo Springfield 8-10
So you can catch a half hour of BK and then still catch all of Buffalo Springfield, or watch all of Black Keys and still get the last hour of Buffalo Springfield. Not too bad of a conflict as there are several ways to see a good chunk of each set and also remains consistent with both insiders posts and the order of the billing. Think Beastie Boys/David Byrne in 09 (Beasties were highest billed non-HL, same as Black Keys; Byrne billed 5th, same as Buffalo Springfield)

I just found this tidbit on Jambands.com for all you mock people.
One tradition that will continue this June is the latest in a series of themed tents. Gogol Bordello frontman Eugene Hütz will curate a ‘Global Gypsy Punk Revue’ that will feature an international cast of artists, including DeVotchKa, Jovanotti, Omar Souleyman and many others. Hütz will also DJ between sets and collaborate with artists throughout the day. Past themed tents have included a world music stage, a bluegrass performance space and a Davie Byrne-led tent, among others.

It could happen but i think BS on the Which would be a shit show. If Neil Young was there alone i would think hed be on the main stage, Id expect the same for this show. They need screens on the Which ffs, there can be way to many people at that stage that you get to far away to see anything.

So now we know a few for certain whats playing the Gypsy Punk tent.
And I'll go a step further and say it's Saturday with a Gogol Bordello late night.
I'm assuming the other acts in this tent will be Beats Antique, Forro in the Dark and Hanggai. I'm still confused about the Global Gypsy Punk Revue. Is that just the theme of this tent or will it be an actual SuperJam?
11:30-12:15 Hanggai 12:45-1:30 Forro in the Dark 2:00-2:45 Beats Antique 3:15-4:15 Omar Souleyman 4:45-6:00 Jovanotti 6:30-8:00 DeVotchKa 8:30-9:45 Global Gypsy Punk Revue 12:30-2:00 Gogol Bordello 3:00-5:00 Shpongletron Experience

I'm thinking its the theme for the tent. Thats not a say a superjam of sorts won't be involved somewhere, but that may take place during the Gogol set.

It seems like there will be a lot of comingling between the gypsies going on and Eugene Hütz will be around all day. After seeing him dance around in the desert heat at Coachella I think he's up for it!

I think that looks right. I was thinking Shpongle would follow Gogol for the late night. Also, I'm pretty sure that the Global Gypsy Punk Review is a superjam.

I think the Revue is just the name for that Tent. There will probably be jams going on inside of it all day, but I don't think there will be a specific spot on the schedule that says "Global Gypsy Punk Revue"
I've been saying all along that it's probably just the name for the curated stage. There was mention of the stage on the Gogol website, but not a word about an actual collaboration amongst the artists. The fact that there's no mention of the superjam in the list of late night acts makes it even less likely IMO.
But, once again, with a group of artists like that, I'd be shocked if there wasn't some sort of collaborations going on within 1 or more of the sets.
If Neil Young was there alone i would think hed be on the main stage, Id expect the same for this show.
I think this might be faulty logic. I honestly don't think BS is as big as the sum of their parts. Neil Young solo or with Crazy Horse would get higher billing than Neil and all those other guys. Unless they're playing Neil's solo hits in addition to the BS material, this just won't be as big of a deal as a proper NY show. That's why they're billed under Black Keys and why many of us expect them to play before Keys on the What or closing down the Which.
In 2010 Weezer and the Flaming Lips (both Which Stage acts, one a preheadliner/closer and the other a late night) were listed above the Dead Weather and Marley & Nas (What Stage acts).
In 2009 NIN and Byrne (Which Stage) were listed above Wilco, Al Green and Snoop (all What Stage preheadliners).
That's basically my reasoning as to why I think the Keys will be Which Stage and BS will be What Stage. It's also because I think Neil/Stills are much bigger (solo or with BS) than the Keys (who in my mind are better suited for Which). Plus, it seems the Which closers are always a younger band that appeals to the "indie" crowd.

I don't have a strong opinion either way on how it will shake out, but I think it would turn into a logistical nightmare to have B.S. on the Which Stage unless their entire set is opposed by something similar to the Keys on What.

i definitely think its going to be the Black Keys on the main stage right before Eminem, but i really cant picture Buffalo Springfield anywhere but on the What. I just feel like if theres one artist on the lineup that would make people buy tickets JUST for that act, its Buffalo Springfield. While Neil Youngs solo work is more popular than Buffalo Springfield, it will still be Neil Young on stage with Stephen Stills, thats a big draw no matter how you slice it.

Another way to look at it-- the second biggest act on Sunday and third biggest act on Saturday last year each closed the Which stage. Of course, neither was a top 5 act.

Yeah, it defies logic to say that adding Steve Stills and Richey Furay to Neil Young would make it less of a draw. I really can't believe that it will fit in Which and I hope they don't try.

If Steve and Richey agreed to play a set full of Neil's solo songs, then yeah, that would be bigger than Neil alone. I don't think that will happen, though.

Yeah, I know there are people who think that way but I don't think there will be that many. Only time will tell. It'll be interesting.
I'm sure you spent time on this, and it makes sense to you. But the conflicts on this schedule are so inconceivable that I'm pretty sure i'd try and sell my ticket. But that's just me I guess. Even though the idea of MMj conflicting with Ray is horrifying, same with the keys ad mumford.
Have you never actually been to Bonnaroo before? You keep expressing surprise and shock that people are producing mock schedules with legit conflicts, but that's how it always ends up. The bigger names will always end up playing against each other, because they need to split the crowds somehow - otherwise if it's MMJ vs. 4 cafe acts, one stage will be swamped while the others will be empty. It's always been this way, I don't know why you can't comprehend this.
Hahah I can comprehend it I'm just hoping it's not that bad. And yes I went last year and I only missed 2 bands I wanted to see from conflicts. Phoenix and The Black Keys.
