**Clean Vibes is accepting Volunteer and Paid Crew Applications!**
**We are signing up Post Show Clean-up Volunteers NOW!**
Clean Vibes, the event waste and recycling team, is now accepting applications for paid staff and volunteers for the 2011 season. For more information on available positions and to download an application, please visit www.cleanvibes.com
Now in its twelfth year, Clean Vibes has earned its place as a staple within the festival community, having worked at over 120 festivals. Years before greening efforts became the norm at festivals, Clean Vibes had formed a team of dedicated music lovers who were committed to reducing the impact of outdoor festivals on the environment. At the core of Clean Vibes’ efforts is a focus on educating and engaging festival attendees in the clean up process.
Focused on action, Clean Vibes always walks the walk when it comes to greening. At the 2010 Bonnaroo Music Festival, Clean Vibes diverted over 194 tons of the waste produced by the event from the local landfill, including over 750 cubic yards of compost being processed on site and used for festival landscaping. Through their involvement in festivals including Hangout, Mountain Jam, High Sierra, Nateva, All Good, Gathering of the Vibes, HullabaLOU, Life is Good, and Outside Lands, Clean Vibes recycled over 470,000 pounds and composted over 135,000 pounds of waste across the United States in 2010.
2011 is looking to be another busy season for Clean Vibes. Anyone interested in helping to spread the Clean Vibe this year can go to our website at www.cleanvibes.com to find out how to join the crew. Applications for paid staff positions must be submitted no later than March 31st. Volunteer Applications are accepted year round!

Ok next question Pre set up or post clean up? I've already ruled out working during
Pre set up seems awesome because you get to see the grounds before hand and get a feel of how its all going to be, plus don't you get a better camping spot? The only thing I'm worried about is the fact that the chances of meeting up with friends to camp once the festival has officially started is probably slim to none right? Post clean up would avoid the whole worrying about being able to camp with people thing But damn, I can't imagine spending another two days of walking around in that hot TN heat cleaning up cigarette buts This will be my second Roo and first time volunteering

I did post show last year and you have to stay Monday Tuesday and Wednesday. You relocate Monday and do your shifts Tuesday and Wednesday. I volunteered with a friend and all the other volunteers and staff are great people. I figure if you can survive the 4 days of bonnaroo, then the 2 days of work isn't out of the question. That being said it can be tough manual labor. I personally like post show cleanup because I dont miss any of the fest

Just to answer a couple questions mentioned above:
Clean Vibes currently has opportunities for Post Show Clean-up available at www.cleanvibes.com (complete the application to be admitted to the Clean Vibes Volunteer Database where you can sign up for the event).
Clean Vibes will have DURING show opportunities available through the Work Exchange Team when they begin their sign ups - these include During Show Clean-up (Fri, Sat, Sun 7:30AM - 1:30PM), Compost Sorting (Fri, Sat, Sun 7:30AM - 1:30PM) and Trash Talker spots (18 hours divided into 3 shifts between Thurs and Sun).
There are no Pre-Fest Clean Vibes opportunities.
THERE IS NO DEADLINE FOR VOLUNTEER APPLICATIONS - EVER!
There is a 3/31 deadline for PAID CREW Applications.
We will accept deposits until all spots are taken (650) or until we can no longer mail out tickets (meaning they would not get to you before the festival) - whichever comes first.
FYI - The Post Show Clean-up Spots are filling up quickly, don't delay - secure your spot today!
Please email info@cleanvibes.com with any and all questions.
