My cousin and I are planning on stopping at the Natural Bridge on Wednesday, but I really have no idea how much time we should give ourselves there. We'll most likely be staying at a hotel in Knoxville Wednesday night, so we'll have another 4.5 hours of driving after our pit stop in VA. Can anyone give any suggestions here? I'm trying to figure out what time we should leave PA Wed morning.
As far as lodging in Knoxville, stay off of the Strawberry Plains exit (East Knoxville) for a quiet, safe, cheap stop. Stay off of Cedar Bluff (a bit further west) to stay in a more expensive, more congested, safe space. Not sure about the other stuff. Hope this helps.

I am leaving around 4-5am to get to monteagle by 6-7 and thats without a scenic pit stop just the normal bathroom/stretch breaks
my first time going to 'Roo, my then-girlfriend and I pulled off the highway to stop for gas, and we went by this place. we were so confused / thought it was hilarious. i think it was closed at the time, though. i had no idea it was a thing people have gone to
I took my group to Foamhenge in 2011. A nice, quick pitstop not far off 81 Took group pictures there
Now I'm trying to look for a good place to eat close to 81...maybe around the VA/TN line. I love Macado's and may even go back there, but I'm looking for a quicker place to eat that's not the typical Subway/McDonald's/Taco Bell/etc. I don't want to sit around too long and use up too much time so we can have more time to relax at the hotel and do some Walmart shopping. Anyone have ideas I should keep in mind?
