wow you have quite the grasp on your musical vernacular. did you go to juliard? id like to know what constitutes the difference between emo/emo pop/emo rock? but yes, y'know, the 80's were LIKE so gay! the line-up is really lacking in reggae and freaky gay emo 80's pop stuff.

Some bands, from what I hear, play in more than one genre. I was at a Karl Denson's Tiny Universe show a couple weeks ago when they started playing a jazzy funk song and then switched into funky jazz with no warning. But maybe I have my categories wrong. In fact, I didn't even know there was a category for baroque rock.
The only thing I really disagree with is not giving New Orleans Funk its own genre. If Gypsy Punk Rock gets its own genre, then NOLA deserves the same, especially considering there are quite a few NOLA bands on the list and only one Gogol Bordello.
