Well ladies and gentlemen, this marks my first post on inforoo.com, as well as my first year of planning to attend Bonnaroo!
1. Should I order my ticket as soon as possible? I don't want it to sell out, and it seems many people have been anticipating this to happen eventually.
2. I guess I don't really have a question #2, so I'll just declare how impossibly excited I am to be attending this year. I plan on meeting everyone, doing everything, trying everything, etc. Absolutely can't wait. See you all there!

Every year there is alot of speculation as to if it will sell out and how fast. Every year tickets go until the day of.
Now that said, 03' sold out rather quickly and Neil Young played that one. I suspect this will sell out but not in several days like alot of people think.
Should you get your tickets soon? Yes. But I say that to everyone. Early is always best.
My first post too. I've been reading this site for about 2 or 3 weeks now. I'm the most logistically gifted of my group thats going down as noobs for this year. I can't wait! so much advice on here. Not a good site to have bookmarked during midterms hahahah

I remember the first roo. I graduated high school that year. My buddy and I got our early bird tickets for I think 115...or 125..something like that. It sold out in less than three weeks...and at that time..there was no dedicated discussion board or anything of the sort. So glad that roo has become a Staple in summer fest...it leads the pack taboot! This year my little brother is doing the same thing I did...so excited for him!

What's Bonnaroo's capacity? If Coachella sold out in 10 days or whatever it was, I'm thinking Bonnaroo should take a similar amount of time or longer, with a higher cap.
I'm hoping to get tickets today but that might change.

1. coachella always sells out
2. bonnaroo isn't located near a super-giant metropolitan area like LA. it hasn't sold out since 07

Coachella doesn't always sell out; it's sold out this year and last year, did not sell out all three days in 2009, sold out 2007 like two weeks before the festival (although I think Friday didn't).
Anyway, the point is the quick sellout this year is an indication of festival trends in general, not just Coachella. I point to Sasquatch's ridiculously quick sellout as empirical evidence of this. How mediocre is Sasquatch's lineup this year?
So I'm a little worried about Bonnaroo selling out but maybe not as quickly?
I really don't think Bonnaroo will sell out too quickly, if at all. If it didn't sell out the first day tickets went on sale... it'll probably be a while.
And I can tell you right now that there aren't millions of people clamoring to buy tickets to a music festival in the south in June Especially after the insane heat we had last year.

^^ Even some Southerners can't take it! My poor roommate took his brother and two friends for the first time last year. (All from TN) After waiting in the car for 8 hours in line and getting parked 45 minutes away from Centeroo, they refuse to ever go back again. I feel bad for the people whose first time was last year.

Idk, I guess some people can just take the heat better than others. I've had to get up in 110o+ attics while working so I guess I'm kind of used to it. But I've never had to spend 4 days in a row outside like at 'roo. My truck has no AC,so I had a sunburn on my left arm before we even got on the farm.
This is my first bonnaroo as well and I'm more than excited! I can't wait to experience all that the farm has to offer, question: for being close to the stage what's the best way for being up close to your favorite acts? hanging at that stage all day or what?
I've never tried to get super close, usually hang at least 60 feet or more back. I know of people campin' out hours before shows to get rail spots, especially fer the latenights. Especially if it's a popular act you may have to risk missin' other bands to catch one and be really close. That bein' said, I don't think it's usually too hard to move up decently close at most all the shows. However, I usually only go up so far as I'm not tryin' to be that asshole that pushes through the crowd of people that waited there patiently fer their spots.

Last year was my first Roo and it was hands down the best time of my life. No need to feel bad!
