I'm planning on bringing my van (GMC Safari) to 'roo, and I'm aware there are certain vehicle classifications that determine where one must set up their campsite. If I can bring my cargo trailer, it'll make packing/transportation much easier, but I've heard that it might mean I would have to pay for VIP or RV parking area, which I don't want to do. If I have to pay extra, I'll just deal with it and pack everything into the van. What do you think?
I think you have to get an RV pass if you bring a trailer, or there is another pass that is rather similar, I'm not sure.
I am sure, though, that you will have to buy another pass to bring in your trailer. They can't just give away two spots for you and your trailer, then they would run out of spots.
EDIT: Just looked around bonnaroo.com for you, and saw the following
"Can I buy a RV pass for my car or truck to enter the RV campground? No, only RVs or other vehicles considered as RVs will be allowed to enter the RV campground. All oversized vehicles, trailers, and campers that are towed and busses are considered RV’s."
So to answer your question, yes, you have to buy an RV pass to enter with your trailer.
