Hi, I was wondering if anyone in the NYC metro area/Connecticut wants to share a ride? Im from Fairfield County and I'm looking to either hitch a ride or give one for roo. Everyone carpooling on this board seems to be in upstate New York or Northern Mass but I'm guessing theres a few of us CT folk in the same predicament in regards to needing a ride.

I'm from West Hartford and am making my 4th trip to Roo this year but as of right now have no ride down. I'm considering flying down (done it before and not really ideal) but I think it'd be cool to have some CT folks make the trip.

I going with 3 other girls from NYC and we'd love to hitch a ride and pitch in/switch off driving. Anyone have extra room for 4 girls? So excited for roo, thanks!
I've been trying to plan a trip to bonnaroo with my friends for weeks with no avail. (I've gotten just about every excuse: money, work, CMA fest??) Anyways...looking to hitch a ride cause this year's lineup looks absolutely amazing.

Yeah, I have nothing to gain from it. Probably because when I get involved in something (Happy Hour gathering, concerts, tailgates, parties..) I like to make as many people come as possible. I was probably a party promoter in a past life. It would be sketchy if I was not going and was promoting it. It just be cool to actually have a lot of people go down from the area. Nice way to meet people. I just moved to NYC area in February.

I'm headed down with my bf this year from Suffolk County. We can't fit anyone in the car because he wants to bring his DJ equipment and a generator so he can run it, but would love to caravan with some rad people, esp since he has to do all the driving(i'm currently fighting a DWI). This is his 1st roo and my 6th, but 2nd nonwork related. We're camping in handicap, so we can bring one other car in there with us, I might be able to get another handicap window hang that would allow us to have 2 more in there also.
Say hey johnny boy, the battle call United we stand, divided we fall Together we are what we can't be alone We came to this country you made it our home
LOL I assure you Carina is just doing her part and helping me spread the word she does not benefit from doing this in anyway except making this trip more memorable! But if this trip is a success she will def get a free ticket this year or next! But again I dont know Carina yet formally and I do look forward to meeting her, she took a leap of faith and ordered a ticket.... BTW if you look on the page the names of attendees are all posted minus 4 people who are paying me cash. itrainmonkeys, cant people be nice anymore and just go out of their way for a stranger? When I see a person who needs help and that I can help I never hesitate. Morally I feel obligated to help all those that I can and I believe that Carina just follows a similar moral from what I know of her.... If you dont believe me and with her permission I will forward you screen shots of our original correspondances lol.

People can be nice.
I just don't come across it as often as you might lol.
Myself and others have been screwed over one way or another when dealing with money and the internet.....and there have been scams in the past where people lost money.
I believe that she is just doing her part and trying to help out..........it just seemed odd to me that she signed up around the same time as you and pushed it so heavily.
Basically, I like making sure of something before committing to it. The bus trip down is a very possible option for me but you can imagine my concerns. The last thing I would want is to be stuck in a parking lot with 30 other people who paid for a bus ticket and finding out it was all a trick. Then i'd be out the money for the ticket and would have absolutely no way to Roo.
I just think of worst case scenarios.
No need to show me your correspondences. I guess i'm just more cynical than others and not as trusting. I've had trust broken a lot the last couple of years so I'm trying to work on that.
@itrain - I hear ya! It happens to everyone... I was just trying to sell my ipad 1 and this morning figured out with was a nigerian idiot scammer i was dealing with all along... not saying not to be careful but Ive been around the block for years and doing business on the net since age 11 or so... If you google my name 'Joshua Niamehr' you will see some of my endeavors, accomplishments, failures... Im the only Joshua Niamehr in the world at the moment...
Im really not interested in screwing anyone out of money... Im all about screwing though - I must say though I do love screwing when it involves women or screw drivers only...
Also you are paying with paypal or google checkout so if I screw you you can take me to paypal and get your money back and then take me to the 5 O'clock news and berate me with the rest of the passengers!

I love how this whole passage manages to be both self-aggrandizing and creepy at the same time. You usually don't find that measure of pomposity and generally rape-y vibe outside of serial killers.
Find a sense of humor.... You obviously dont know me lol... Are you a psychologist now? You're really going to try to psychoanalyze someone you dont know on a public forum for just making a joke? And to compare them to a serial killer lol. I stand by my humor and use my real name in my posts... What about you?
Not to mention your name on this board is Stanky Mcnasty, you're a "Purveyor of Porn, Crusher of Hope" and want people to "Ask me about my private yoga lessons." and you want to board troll me and say I sound rape-y in a board post?? How about the profile info you carry on every post?
And if you didnt get the joke I was saying I love and respect women and enjoy to build things in general and using the pun of screwing.... Its a joke... get it?
