Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
something i try to keep in mind is that every year bonnaroo does it a little different. i've noticed when it comes to speculation (especially with scheduling) people always stick to what's familiar with years' past. every year since i've been to bonnaroo, something has changed.
i think it would be interesting to speculate what Bonnaroo might "surprise" us with this year since theyve been hinting at more surprises anyway. For example
-Dual Headliners: 2009 i think was the first (and only?) year for this. with Beasties vs. David Byrne (they weren't headliners wahwahwah whatever shutup). with such a topheavy lineup like this years, i think we can expect to see something like this again. i'm thinking Buffalo Springfield vs. Lil Wayne.
-Thursday Which Stage: i know noD says there can't be a thursday headliner, but i don't see why they can't pull a name from the middle of the lineup like STS9 or Big Boi to play Which from 10 to 12 or something. technically it wouldn't be a headliner since it wouldn't be a topbilled name?
-Sunday semi-latenights: lots of other fests do this and i think it would be great if bonnaroo would catch on. if Widespread Panic is playing mainstage from 8-12 or whatever, i think it would be sweet if one or two tent shows went from 11pm to 1am, or 10:30pm to 12am. i think this would encourage more people to stay the night and not try to get back on the road intoxicated (an underrated problem).
-comedy/film tent in the day. electronic at night Lunar stage was a great addition last year, but the sound bleed was obnoxious. i think the comedy and film tents are great, but how many people really get excited for latenight comedy/ movie night? (not to denounce those that do). i say lets move some DJs and other electronic artists in there during the latenights to keep the soundbleed off from the tents. just a thought.
these are just some ideas to see what new tricks bonnaroo might have up its sleeve this year. something new to play with.
remember: JUST BECAUSE ITS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE. DOESNT MEAN IT CANT BE DONE.
edit: the main reason i am starting this thread is not so much to actually predict what Bonnaroo will do, but just to encourage new or fresh speculation and let our imaginations run wild, instead of clinging to models of past years. who knows maybe AC/S will read this and get some ideas.

Another entrance or even two into Centeroo would be great. They definitely do not have a shortage of volunteers. It would ease the wait times to get in, shorten walks from BFE, and create more volunteer slots.
1) Add more water stations 2) Add a new entrance or two to Centeroo 3) Add a stage to the camping area for artist meet-greet, acoustic shows. Theses shows can run from 10am-1pm each day. 4) Start shows earlier, everyone is up by about 8am anyways. 5) More late-night Which stage shows 6) Get rid of the Lunar stage / Expand the silent disco 7) Use the Fuse barn for something cooler than a couple contest winners (open mic) 8) More shade!
1)I'm ok with the water station add. I think there should be another one or two in Centeroo. 2)A new entrance for Centeroo would be fine but where would it go? 3)Stages in the camping area is a bad idea. Besides why would the artists want to spend more time away from their awesome hospitality area. 4) Shows start early enough. I hate having to rush to get in for the first act. It never works out right. I like my morning down time where we can have a few bloddy mary's and breakfast. 5) Don't they already go until 3am. I'm fine with only a few things to choose from. I hate when I have two bands that I want to see. 6) The Lunar stage has great potential. Besides there should be more devoted to electronic music. I just think they need to iron out all of the kinks. It was only the first year they did it. I don't get the hype of the Silent Disco. It's neat but I don't think it needs to be bigger. 7) Fuse is a sponser. I believe they get to decide what they do with it. While I think it's an ugly structure, it's necessary for the promoters to have sponsers so they can book all of this great talent. 8) While it would be great to have shade, I don't want to have more structures built. I guess they could plant some trees in the camp grounds but that will only crowd an already full space. I do like the idea of more trees though.
As far as the Sunday late nights. I'm going to have to say no on this one too. More of a safety issue on this one. Alot of people have a long drive home. If music ran late on Sunday people would be less likely to be smart and go to bed. We have all been at a 4 day party. Enough is enough. Get some sleep and then go home.
Until last year the Fuse barn was open with a variety of things inside including art projects, phone charging and of course air conditioning. Last year was the first year it was closed to the public and if what they told us is still accurate it will be open again this year.
There's got to be some way to increase the shade, even if it is only temporary. Trees are great but they take a while to get to the point of being shade helpful.
How about adding some additional entrances to the farm itself? I know there's a VIP entrance and there aren't that many people who go VIP. Maybe expand the people who can use that, IDK day parking, handicap access, I don't know. Just seems like the traffic would flow a bit more smoothly.
I expect they're going to have additional water in some places after last years tragedy.
And get rid of the silly little beach from last year, it was empty more often than not.
And my best idea...get Brita or something as a sponsor and have the fountain filtered
All in all I have to say I am always amazed at how well they handle the massive number of people that roll in.

good god leave the beach it was a fantastic cool down spot and remained free from conjunctivitis (my friend got pink eye from the fountain)
thanks! haha
Please filter the fountain.
Last year seven of us went.. quack and i the only two to use the much needed cooling fountain. Seven days after we got home I had hemoragic conjunctivits and 104-105 fever for the first 5 days straight. Seven days later quack joined the fun. We were collectively quarantined for a little over five weeks with what the 'experts' called an unknown highly contagious viral/bacterial combination. No one else in the group got sick. While we cant prove it, we affectionately refer to it as Bonnaroo flu.
And yes if its as hot, we'll be back in the fountain. We figure we must be immune after going through the hell above.

1) If there was no Lunar Stage, then there would have been no epic Crystal Method DJ set last year! 2) Having a sponsor to filter the water is an awesome idea, but I don't think anybody here could imagine how much work and supplies would have to go into filtering all the water that comes out of those stations for 80,000+ people! 3) Agreed, the beach is kinda cheesy, I'm sure some people love it, but who really comes to Bonnaroo to play beach volleyball? 4) Maybe it's just because last year I was a rookie but I found the comedy tents awful confusing as to when to line-up to get a certain comedians ticket...last year I waited for an hour to try and get Aziz tickets, only to get to the front of the line and find out it was for someone else! 5) Stop trying to frisk and search everybody that goes into centeroo...no one wants to buy your 7 dollar beers when we can bring bottled water that doesnt taste like its out of a ditch. Me and anybody I ran into had 0 problems getting whatever we wanted into centeroo anyways ( I mean it's already on the farm), the centeroo search is a massive waste of time and a good way to get a bunch of hot people really irritated with you!
I was thinking about Rothbury and how between shows they would show video of the audience on the screens on stage, it made it a lot of fun to watch while waiting for the next band. I think Roo could do something like that to make the time between bands a little more interesting for the people waiting.
