Hi everyone. Bonnarookie here. Actually, this is going to be my first BIG music festival, ever. I have so many questions, from what I haven't seen on the threads, but I need some opinions, but I'll start by asking one..
I've been having my eye for quite some time on this daypack:
For all you Bonnaroo alumni out there, do you think this is too small, too big, the perfect size, or what for Roo? Note, I am a girl and will probably be wearing a swimsuit top most of the time and a Camelback underneath whatever backpack I choose, but I just don't want to buy this, and it end up not being what I need. Opinions and suggestions are greatly appreciated!!
If this is going to be your Centeroo bag I'd say the size is just fine. Really, it just comes down to what you want to bring in with you, naturally more stuff = larger bag. It has a bunch of pockets in addition to a main pouch so it looks pretty good to me.
What I'm curious about is that you want to have that bag plus a CamelBak? Why's that? I'd go with one or the other (of course if you have a bag then you'll need a water bottle or something). Quite frankly the weight of just my CamelBak sometimes bothers me, I couldn't imagine having two things on my back. IMO, I'd just go for the CamelBak (or even a cheap off-shoot, there's plenty of them to choose from)- you get means of hydration and storage- kill two birds with one stone!
I like that bag and think it would be more than fine for Centeroo, but like Deat said, why that and a camelbak? I say one or the other, because two is too much. The camelbak should have pockets and enough of them to store what you need in Centeroo. If you just go with the Canvas backpack daypack, you can carry water in there, or get a bobble water bottle ~$10, they have a built in filter and you can fill it up in centerroo.
How can you have beer, if you don't finish your tequila?
That is a very cute bag. But really think about what you'll carry around with you all day. It is super hot and humid during the day and any extra weight can drag you down. I prefer to wear shorts with lots of pockets, a camelback (which can store some stuff) and keep it to a minimum - some TP, individually wrapped wipes, money, small pack of sunscreen, cigs/lighter if you need them (dispose properly!) and a copy of the line-up.

I agree with everyone else. This is a great bag. I like it alot. But you definitely have to decide what all you want to carry into centeroo with you. As another female, I usually have a lot that I want to take with me. Plus will you be buying anything there, like shirts, gifts, crafts, etc. I took a Camelbak with me last year but it wasn't big enough and didn't have enough pockets. I'm looking for a bigger Camelbak this year. Having water on you at all times is a big plus.

Thanks guys Yea, I was wanting to bring both (camelback and the daypack) because 1) I wanted cold water 2) I wanted to have enough room to carry my necessities for Centeroo and 3) I didn't know if a camelback had pockets or enough room to carry everything. Most of the ones that I've seen at stores so far don't look very spacious. But that bobble looks great! I might just go with that instead. I tend to over-prepare myself events, which can be a good and bad thing, so I figured the daypack would be a good choice, with all the pockets. I just hope it doesn't rub my skin raw is all. haha.
And Scrog, it was a quote I heard on Futurama last night that I thought was funny, so I put it in my profile. haha.

^^ beer after Tequila is a good drinking law. I like it. Drinking rule number one: Liquor before beer, never fear. Beer before liquor, never sicker. I was trying to do a play on words from the Wall, "If you don't eat your meat, you can't have any pudding. How can you have pudding, if you don't eat your meat?"
Keep in mind that Camelbak makes larger packs but its pretty expensive. If you're willing to spend more, look on their website and maybe find a discounted 1 elsewhere that you like. They even have video reviews of each bag in there which I really like.
Look at Camelbak's website. Link here. They make women's specific packs also. I think you will find one that has ore then enough room for your belongings. If you have a REI or EMS in your area they carry a good selection to choose from.
If you are on a budget look at craigslist, a lot of mountain bikers are constantly upgrading to newer. Jut buy a new bite valve and you will be all set.
I'd check out an army navy store. They have a lot of options if its a big store. I like to see exactly what I'm getting so I can brainstorm how I'd use it. And there are some really cheep hydration bladders that you can put in your pack. I'm not willing to fork over the $60 to $90 for the camelback brand name ish. I have a High Sierra Cirque 30 for $50 which I comfortably carry a lot or a little with, and its set up for putting a bladder in it. Its durable too, I use it every day. Last year I had a $30 no name pack w/hydration that I lost, but it was decent and carried all my tp etc.. no problem.
