this is a new venue in nashville. its a huge mansion where barbara mandrell lived for years. its now a restaurant and venue etc. they announced their summer lineup of concerts and its pretty impressive.
this is a smaller venue than starwood. the concerts will be more mellow and not too loud due to the area. id think it will be more laid back than a lot of areas, however, its in a lovely area an dit has a lot of cool features including a huge barn that they use for something or another. its located just down the interstate from nashville off of a country highway. my guess is that it will be easier to deal with than starwood became late on in its history.
i had a bit of trouble getting the entire lineup to come up at first too. they show a few bands but you have to go to the "events" to see the whole list i think. they also have much smaller acts in the restaurant for locals.
it also says "more events to come". you can get a pass for events going on sale monday through thursday and that includes the same seat for all events and a free tour pass of the mansion which is worth 21 bucks. i dont se ea price on this but my guess is that they will also have grass passes but i cant say for sure about that
for those of you making a day of it. be sure and see the nearby james gang saloon and the richards cajun restaurant. they are in old buildings - its pretty neat and not too touristy when ive been there.
I went by there today and grabbed lunch at the onsite restaurant, it's a really nice place. They've gone all out from best as I can tell. I could see the amphitheater from a distance but not up close. I'll DEFINITELY be there for STP and Steely Dan this year. They say they'll have between 12-14 shows per year so should be plenty more to be announced.
Yes ans STYX!!! someones smiley just creamed their pants!!
Considering the Mega ticket option, would like to see STP and Steely Dan for sure, Chicago would be a nice time, Steve Martin not so much . . . saw some of his Bonnaroo set, won't cry if I never see them again. Anyone else considering the Mega Ticket??
