Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Per Wikipedia the only other founding member that isnt currently listed as a member of the group is harmonicst/pianist Howard Levy. Actually upon further research it says on Howard Levys page that he rejoined the group as a touring member in 2009, so I guess thats what that means.
Thanks! I'm too lazy to look up stuff
I'm so confused by what a "get" is now. Everyone is defining it differently. I'd say SCI is a big get since they stopped touring in 2007, and only do a few shows a year. Probably the last time they come to the south (hope I'm wrong about that). Buffalo Springfield is a huge get, even though they are touring later in the year. And the Dr. John w/ the Meters are the biggest get, imo. Even if they play together again, they probably won't be doing Desitively Bonnaroo
P.S. Lolla can have eminem, i'll trade him for a Blackstar or Jay Z repeat

my point was less about Massive Attack and more that there are other things that would excite me more than Portishead, and Dr. John/Dan Auerbach Superjam is one of those things
Who are the acts that either aren't playing other fests or aren't touring extensively that are playing Roo this year.
Explosions in the Sky Beirut Dan Auerbach/Dr. John Superjam
Total Agreement on EitS & Beirut.. been waiting to see both of them forever.. but I'm quite positive my mind would be blown if Explosions actually ends up being a LN show

Dr. John and the lower 911 band were just booked for Gathering of the Vibes. It's not the same as Dr. John and Meters or Dr. John/Dan Auerbach but it's still Dr. John playing another festival.

Not that it really matters to me.
Yeah honestly I really, really hope we also get a Meters show, not that I dislike Dr John at all. but in terms of bands you will not see elsewhere and maybe not ever again The Original Meters part is the biggest thing on the lineup.

Agreed. I got REALLY really excited when I first saw The Original Meters on the lineup, then once it had all sunk in a couple hours later I got kind of bummed when I realized I wasnt gonna hear any of the classic Meters tunes. That would be a really cool add to give them their own set.
