His show at Schubas in Chicago sold out in two minutes and I missed out by about one minute. I guess I'll have to see him at Pitchfork now.

Yeah, Philly show was similar. I totally forgot tickets went on sale when they did and I missed em by about 10 minutes. FACK. He's playing at a real small venue too, probably the last time I'll ever get to see that happen
If anybody comes across a ticket for the Philly show or NYC for less than $50, please PM me! I'm so upset I missed out on this.
R5 wrote on their Twitter today that they may be moving the Philly show to a bigger venue, so keep an eye on that.
AWESOME! I am so happy right now ;D Do you have a link with any info about it? Should I follow R5 on Twitter or subscribe to emails or something? TY so much I really hope I can get a ticket this time

This song is also really fun. He released this before he was really known under a different name. But the synth sound makes it so obvious now that he has released other stuff.
That show was so good last night. I wish it was a bit longer, I think he only played about seven songs.. but it was sooo good. That extended version of Limit to Your Love was amazing. There were two songs I didn't recognize, the one with almost a house kind of beat, and the encore, which was beautiful. I don't know about him playing a festival, I feel like the less people at his show the better. However, the Bonnaroo crowds are usually pretty respectful so I guess it could work. I was shocked at how quiet the audience was last night!
Did anyone go to his DJ set last night? He's doing one at Beauty Bar later on Sunday. Might make for a rough day at work Monday, but I'm thinking about going after his show.

I have a strong urge to pay 4x face to drive up to LA after work on the 24th to see him at Hollywood Forever and drive back in time for work the following day... so illogical, but it would be so worth it.
Damn, what a show last week. We came in with lofty expectations and he exceeded them. So different from any other show I've been to and some of the heaviest bass I've ever felt. Very glad I was able to see him in a small venue while I still had the chance. I am thinking about going to Pitchfork to see him in an outdoors setting.

He just announced more tour dates, but the Toronto show is during ATP, I'll take consolation in that I'm seeing Jeff Mangum and Bonnie Prince Billy that day.

Here's a little write up I found on last night's show, including a set list (although they are missing a solo bit James did while waiting for his band to come back for the encore).
Was seriously amazing. Very unique & small venue, but I got there early and got a very nice spot right next to James, had a great view & the sound made my chest rattle (in a good way).
Ranks solidly #2 of all the shows I've seen in my life
