I figured I would start a thread for this since he is currently touring the USA and playing at Ultra and Coachella. His schedule is open during Bonnaroo.
He played at SXSW Saturday night at La Zona rosa and pretty much blew everything else I saw all week to smithereens. It is the best live electronic show I have ever seen and the best one touring right now (next to the chems who I have not seen yet). It beat out Massive attack in my book and that's tough to do, but this is more danceacble.
He has space open during June which would leave him open as a possibility and an epic late night set at bonnaroo.
Here is one of the videos from his set. I have more in my videos.
If you are unfamiliar with him, his albums are super chill, but he adds layers at shows that turn them into electronic dance parties.
It's gonna be really hard to top this for best show of the year.
Did I post this in the wrong thread at first or was it moved? There are threads for other bands not yet playing bonnaroo.

A bunch of people are saying that Trentemoller was one of the best shows, if not the best show of Coachella this year.
He still has 3 more USA tour dates. I highly advise catching this before he heads back to Europe if you have the chance. Boston, Brooklyn and Chicago are coming up along with a couple of Canada dates.
It's next-level type electronic.
For any further clarification, this video from 4:00 on gives immediate clarification.

Drag anyone you know that likes electronic music at all to this show. Even if they have never heard of him they will be blown away. It's that good.
I ended up at his sxsw show by myself and wished I could have dragged all my friends there. I feel sorry that they missed out. It's one of those type of shows.

Here is the audio from his Coachella performance. One of the Coachella board members taped it, and the audio quality is excellent. It progressively gets better and he changes up the tweaks to his songs at every show. I think his regular shows are a little longer than this.
My go-to for chilled out, lounge-y, electronic will probably be Massive Attack, Portishead, and Thievery Corporation.
Um, Trentemoller is my answer to this.
If you don't have the Last Resort, you are totally missing out, it's one of my favorite albums. Best music to study or go to sleep to ever. Also, I highly recommend his BBC Essential mix from 2006. It got the mix of the year award.
Thanks for the suggestion. Listened to The Last Resort on Grooveshark. Great Album! Friday to you
Wow. What an incredible show last Thursday. I feel fortunate to have been able to see this as I'm not sure the next time he'll be around. Definitely one of the best electronic shows I've seen. Here a couple quick videos:

He posted on facebook that they are working on fall dates so it sounds like he might be back. I don't know if he would hit up the same cities again, but hopefully.
I figure if he is likely to play a festival, moogfest would be a strong possibility since he was featured on their site and obviously a master using their equipment.

I am still in the process of listening to this, but Trentemoller did a mix for beats in space Tuesday night and it is downloadable here. It seems like it's really chill.
The first two tracks are skippable, then it has an interview with Trent and goes into the mix. He is planning on coming back in October this year. I am thinking moogfest is a strong possiblility.
From what I've listened to so far, his BBC Essential mix is still where it's at.

Since he is coming back to the USA later I will keep this thread rolling. After Bonnaroo and SXSW, Trentemoller is still my favorite show of the year. Just edging out My Morning Jacket at Bonnaroo.
Anyways, I found where you can listen to his BBC Essential mix. 2 hours of ultra chillness. If you need focus time or something of that nature, listen to it. It also plays with the current tracklisting.
