It works fine for me and I really like it. I like how you can "favorite" threads so if theres only a few threads you're following you can open that tab and see if anyone's posted anything. Makes reading the boards quicker and more efficient. And on wifi everything loads really fast
Does anyone still use this app for iPhone? Have the problems been resolved? Should I spend the $2.99 and buy the app?
i use it. its good for checking inforoo at work, better then loading the web page in safari IMO. it is buggy though, and sometimes just doesn't want to start for some reason. for me personally its worth the $3 just for the enhanced readability on mobile devices, but I can see why most folks don't dig it.
I use the iphone one daily, it's great for quick reading at work. what I like best is the "Participated" thread... i wish there was a way to load up only threads we've participated in on the real computah, i mean better than a list of just five recent threads we've posted in in our profile-- is there such a list?

Agreed, has anyone found any other good forums/boards that are also compatible or a part of the app?
so I downloaded the iphone proboards app last night in an insomniac frenzy of random things, and can't get it to work. I can't find inforoo at all! Except for the tiny little inforoo site that CKS made - with only 3 or so posts.
I can't really glean anything meaningful from the above posts so will someone pls help a sista out? I didn't know about a grace period to delete it either
When you open the App click on the Forums tab at the bottom of the page. On the top right there will be a '+' button. Tap this and then write 'bonnaroo', not 'inforoo' (without the apostrophies of course). After that it'll add Inforoo to your Forums list. Then you'll just need to enter your account info. Hope that helps Z

I'll spend the three bucks when I get my iPhone LOL. Was gonna for the iPod touch, but now that our wifi was taken away at work... eh. lol.
Just an FYI . . . the free lite version allows you to still view everything, just not post or PM. I ran the lite version for awhile before I upgraded, just to make sure I liked it.
Yoooo, just got the app! Asked Al if he had a spare three bucks and when he asked why he told me to buy if I wanted it (iPod linked to his iTunes) Hehe! Trying to figure it all out, seems OK!
You will notice some HTML getting lost in translation, I think its an apple thing. For example, special characters and symbols such as > ^ # % / etc will show up as the HTML codes ** where ** is a two digit code. Like when I play mafia from my phone, the vote tally reads:
Mike D >> SFA
but my iphone app will show it as
Mike D >> SFA or Mike D >> SFA
You just have to get used to it, know what they mean, or just not give a poop
Long story short . . . Mike D is mafia
edit: that didn't work, the internet is apparently trying to outsmart me
quote me on this post and you will see what I was trying to tell ya

Kinda. If you'd like to follow a thread then bookmark it.
Then go to your profile and click on bookmarks.
This will show you all the threads you like to follow ;D
^ You can post from the paid version. I think that's the difference in ProBoardsLite vs. the full. Also, you can't see karma points from the mobile app. (like that matters - still, it's got limited functionality.)
I still have the free ProBoards Lite app (which apparently does not exist anymore), and as of yesterday this forum stopped working on it. It allows me to get all the way to a sub-forum, and then prior to any threads appearing, it says "Network Error - Your account may have actions that require a standard web browser to perform. Otherwise please contact your forum administrator if this problem persists." I tried resetting the app to no avail. Is anyone else having this issue? Is my free ride just over?
This may be completely unrelated, but when this first happened yesterday, I opened my browser (iPhone), and hit my inforoo bookmark. It stated that the forum's web address had changed to bonnaroo.proboards.com. I know there were always multiple addresses to get to the forum, but I think I previously had it bookmarked as either inforoo.org or inforoo.com. Could this be contributing to the ProBoards app issue in any way?

I'm having trouble with the iPhone App. For about 3 weeks I've been getting the same message when I attempt to access Inforoo through the App: "Cannot connect to forum - This forum is either restricting access from Proboards or the installed Proboards plugin is not working. Please contact your forum administrator."
I have attempted to do some troubleshooting online and reset settings, clear cache, etc. but nothing seems to work. Thoughts?

From home screen:
-hold thumb on app -hit the "x" on app -you are sure you want to delete app -go to App Store -redownload app ( will shot $2.99, but once you go to install it, it will say free due to previous purchase, or something like that)
An annoying process, I've had to do this at lease 10 times in the past 2-3 months

To all of you who are still having issues with the app like I did after trying to log on with my new android phone. Shmohawk is correct in saying the new domain to search for in the app is bonnaroo.proboards.com. That worked perfectly for me so for any of you out there, there yah go.
