I'm trying to finalize plans with my parents to go to this festival. They brought me to Woodstock 99 when I was in 8th grade, and I think doing a fest with them again would rock! And they'd pay for the hotel
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
Someone talk me into being interested in Sunday's lineup. I don't know too much about them.
I'm about 95% sure I want to go at least Saturday though, though I have not bought a ticket yet.
Sunday - from 3:00 to 6:40 you should stick to the one stage that has Justin Townes Earle, Middle Brother, and M. Ward. All three of those acts are fantastic and will be great shows.
FM, you absolutely MUST be sure to see The Civil Wars when they perform... your ears won't hear such pure, magical harmonies the rest of the year, I promise. They are amazing!!!

This ^^^ is where I will be. Just tuned into Civil Wars a month or so ago and agree!

Have fun, LD, Scrog, quacker & Fawnmart, and whoever else is lucky enough to be there! I'm so jealous...would LOVE to be there again! Can't wait to hear all about it next month.
I got back a little over a half hour ago. My neck is bright red from Saturday. The previously mentioned beer prison inside Fort Adams - that wasn't cool either.
But, a lot of great shows. Great venue. Much more chill atmosphere than Vibes. Had a really fun weekend. Thanks to Quack/Fawn/Scrog - good times.
This is kind of on topic, but I caught a free Bright Eyes set last week and Conor was wearing a Felice Brothers tee.
Yea he's good friends with them. They used to be on his record label and they've performed as his backing band (when he wasn't touring as Bright Eyes) for a couple of shows. They've opened for him a decent amount too.
One of the last Felice Brothers shows that I was at in Brooklyn in a really small place saw Conor come out from backstage and sing the lyrics to one of the FB songs. At first I couldn't tell it was him because he had a hood up the whole time and didn't make a point to let everyone know who it was.....then when he sang though.....you knew it. Before the song was over he disappeared backstage just like that. It was a really special surprise and I was very happy to be there for it.
