Lineup to be announced on Wednesday. Today I saw on facebook that Gogol Bordello has confirmed themselves to be there. As well as The Decemberists headlining Saturday night.
ohhhh.. While this is in our 'back yard', we've checked it out again and again but have not yet gone. The traffic logistics are horrific. If this line up holds out, looks like we'll be going this year. When we drive 1000 miles to roo at least there are multiple entrance options... not in RI. Thanks for the thread Concert Junkie!
^^The traffic situation isn't as bad as you would think. I think we were only in "line" like 20 minutes tops. It helps to go on and buy a parking pass when you purchase tickets.
Thanks GL. Its about 15-20 minutes from home. Have not sat in the line, but have gotten hung up in the traffic trying to get elsewhere. Will definitely be checking out the line up.

Mumford and Sons likely won't be there. Newport Folk discussed it on their FB page saying they keep asking them to play. Last year they said yes but then changed their plans and did something else. This year they just said no.
Also add the Felice Brothers to this lineup. They announced they would be on Saturday (same with Delta Spirit).

Went last year with a few buddies, kind of a bachelor party trip. Had a blast but it's definitely a different type of festival (i.e. the one beer tent is almost on an island and you have to drink outside of the lawn area of the concert venue).

I know this might be a bit of a stretch if you are 15/20 minutes by car but we all brought our bikes up and rode from the hotel. It was a good way to get there and they even had a separate entrance for those that chose a "green" form of transportation.
Good thought GB. However i'm thinking the ride there would be fine if we launched from a friends home thats closer, but the ride back probably would not turn out so well. : ) beer tent + anything faster than feet = bad stuff. But we do have a few 'limo' comp's here that do cost effective party vans.
Neil will be here in RI in a few weeks. PPAC 4/22, relatively small arts center, but gorgeous and great acoustics. First time I will see him live. Cant wait!

Was very interested in Devil Makes Three last year but couldn't get to Centeroo in time last year (it was too early). I think fawnmart and I are going to hit this. I know I'll need a Decemberists fix again by then and would like to get a second chance to see DM3.
This very well might have to happen for me. Especially after I see Freelance Whales and The Head and the Heart at the farm- if they turn out to be decent (and from what I hear they are), then totally.
Especially being Mountain Man is performing- they're probably my new favorite thing.

I may try and hit up Saturday. Gogol, Decemberists, Felice, Delta Spirit, Devil Makes 3.....all look great.
I might hit this up because my sister lives in Riverside. However a few of her friends went last year and apparently got yelled at for dancing to What Cheer? Brigade... Kind of lame if you ask me.
