Nice interview. I had the pleasure of meeting him on my way home from Roo this year. It's amazing how humble and down to earth the guy is. He seemed to be as excited to be recognized by a fan as I was to meet him.
Damm fine interview Taylor...karma at ya. I've been going to see WSP for many years myself, mostly NYE. Not to criticize, but your article needs one small adjustment. Phillips Arena opened in 1999. Before that it was the Omni (trust me, I saw quite a few Dead shows at the Omni) No biggie, just thought you'd like to know.
He was sitting right behind me on my flight from Nashville to Atlanta Monday morning after Roo. It was one of those little planes with about 40 or so seats. I think I did at least a tripple take before I got my $hit together to talk to him. I just kept thinking this guy just headlined the biggest party of the year, what the F#$@ is he doing flying coach. But I got the nerve up to talk to him and he was a really cool guy. He signed my bonnaroo guidebook for me, and I got my picture taken with him in the airport in Atlanta (check out my avatar). I couldn't imagine closing out my bonnaroo in a better way.
