This is a tiny festival (anywhere from 100-300 folks usually) that they put on several times a year. The two bigger ones are Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend. In the past they've also had Spring Break Camp, Halloween Camp and New Years Camp. It's inexpensive ($60-70). It's one of my favorite weekends of the year. Very relaxed atmosphere, super heady vibes, no security checks. You camp in the woods, you can have camp fires at your sites. There's hiking and swimming. Soccer during the day in the field and late-night dance parties at the side stage. Bonfires every night at the main stage, the bands are always REALLY REALLY good. There's no separation between camping and the venue so you can bring your beer, chairs, coolers, food, whatever to all the shows. Limited vendors means you have to bring in what you want to drink/eat, but we usually go to town (15 min drive) at least once for ice and such. They had a beer vendor on Memorial weekend last year, but it was pretty expensive compared to just bringing your own.
The weather can be quite varied. Last Memorial Day weekend it rained almost all weekend, so be prepared for cold and rainy to sunny and warm.
These were from a few years back, but it pretty much looks the same now:

If the creek don't rise or the sky don't fall, I'll be there.
Mist ewe guise at the Spring thing (great weather although the calendar indicated it was still Winter). The Chattanooga contingent of Hill People was there and seems to be growing in numbers. A cool Knoxville group of wide-eyed first timers was there and I do believe there were several new CR devotees spawned!
I kept looking for some Dale TV but kept getting the "Czech Your Connections" notice everytime I looked. Missed big Mike R, too, but Rasta Ronnie was there and so the positive vibe was up at least ten points!
A smaller crowd than Memorial or Labor Daze, but a great, kindred spirit vibe just the same.

I wish we could've gone to the Spring Break Camp, but I didn't find out until just a couple weeks before and didn't have time to make it happen. I heard Ronnie was there which is awesome, I hope he's there in May. Any word from Mike R at all? Kinda worried about him!
Ive heard of this a few times but just haven't gone and checked it out yet even though its only a short drive for me. I was wondering if anyone that could possibly shed some light on quality and presence of party favor vendors on the grounds? Wont be able to do a big fest this year but hoping to do some smaller ones for the first time this year. Looking at this and head jamz in Adams, TN.
haven't checked this thread in a while, last call!!!!!!!!
lookup - its decent, but you will not find everything there like at Roo. Quality is usually excellent though, but there are not too many vendors, total attendance is usually 300 ish
