The two of them are doing shows together mainly on the east coast and a few in the midwest.
Personally, The Mountain Goats are one of my favorite bands ever- John Darnielle is a freaking lyrical genius- and I've been wanting to see Bright Eyes for almost 10 years now and never had. Quite frankly, this is a no-brainer for me.

This is such good news!!! I tried to go see Bright Eyes about a month ago.. let's just say that it ended up being a really bad night and so it didn't end up happening. Huge bummer for me because they're one of my favorites. But now hopefully I can redeem myself. I'll probably go to one of the shows in New York with the Mountain Goats.. I'll have to give them more of a listen. Any songs to reccomend?
^Ohhh man, personally The Sunset Tree and Tallahasee are my two favorite albums, but literally everything I've heard of theirs (they have I think 18 albums) is gold. Also Sweeden and All Hail West Texas are great lo-fi recordings. And their new album All Eternals Deck is great too. In short, maybe I'd start with The Sunset Tree and work around from there.
He writes some really amazing stories with some really amazing characters. He's a really intelligent songwriter.
