Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I think websites posting pics of nekkid/topless chicks at festivals may have something to do with it too...
One thing to be free and in the moment, another for it to be on display foreverrrrr. Kind of a buzzkill.
If you're snapping off nudie pics at bonnaroo, then you need to be tackled.
Totally, so many little pervs were snapping pics at one girl that she ran away covering herself. I felt like giving her my shirt, but the last thing she probably wanted to see at that moment was a sweaty guy chasing her taking his shirt off. Lol.
Common sense tells me that if someone is obviously not wanting to be photographed you don't chase them with your camera like a sleazy paparazzi.
But I see both sides of the coin. I'm a male, if you're a topless girl, I will look. I won't gawk or be a perv, but I will definitely notice you, and you'll definitely get a 1-10 in my head. And this entire process will last about 1 second... 3 if you got an 8 or higher.
What angers me most about this video is the crowd. What a bunch of wimps! There are thousands of us and THREE cops!! I've been to anti-war protests that have had smaller crowds and we have rushed the cops and moved them back. There are more of us than there are of them. They're not gonna suddenly move the riot police in for a naked guy at a music festival. Just rush the pigs!! They'll get scared immediately and back off. Trust me, I've done it. They just want to go home at the end of the day. They're little children in blue costumes with fake little badges that mean nothing. At Bonnaroo, we saw a guy being chased by the fake pigs on horses.. and a small crowd of people just moved into the path of the running guy, and we helped him escape arrest! Successful. Power in numbers. In this video, instead of hissing and booing like a bunch of cowards, they should have rushed the scene the second those piggies started their brutality against a clearly non-violent person. Thankfully the real cops don't come into centeroo, but be careful around the campsites. As the years go on, they step up the enforcement every year.
I agree. This video really disgusted me.. how could people stand there like that and watch? What does that do to help the situation. I definitely feel that I would have at least tried to get the cops to stop.
if i saw anyone being messed with by the cops like that i wouldnt stand there and boo id go rush the pigs.
people are whimps
Haha no you wouldn't. And if you did you'd be arrested and placed in jail, justifiably for many months.
That video made it pretty clear that the guy was blitzed as hell and was breaking the law. If he didn't like the law then he can organize a protest, which he wasn't (due to intoxication).
Second, he assaulted one cop, who let it slide, then he assaulted another. Further, it is standard procedure to restrain anyone who touches an LEO in any way because allowing it to happen has potentially dangerous side effects for the LEO. Finally, the guy was resisting arrest once he was put on the ground. I don't know why this is so shocking - unless of course someone is used to whitebread suburban communities with no police presence other than traffic cops.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

this is why the cops have control. people who are afraid of them. what are they going to do if 20 people come at them to break it up. grow a set of balls and stand up for whats right.
If you are doing something you know is unwelcome on Someone Else's Property, then you deserve whatever the cops have to do to get you OFF that property. I understand some people don't like cops. That's your business. But frankly if Roo turned into a nudist camp it would cease being Roo for me, and I'd be pissed i spent money being there.
The best crowd protest would NOT have been rushing the cops, but instead disrobing. 1000 ppl disrobing would have been a statement of support. 1000 ppl whining that they dont like cops is called high school.
Tough talk against cops, in that crowd or on these boards, is half-baked thinking.

While I disagree about the "half-baked" portion of your statement and I maintain my opinion on police officers, I am impressed and highly agree with the first part of your statement when you mentioned the surrounding crowd getting naked themselves. As a show of support. Kind of an "I am Spartacus" moment.. haha. Great idea. And non-violent first... so I must give you FRIDAYS!!! Right on, brother. Maybe I'm carrying my protest/street environment off the street and into the fest.. but I just hate seeing these pigs bully innocent people around. But I completely agree with you. Your way would be the better way in this particular scenario.
Just wondering how you guys know that the man in the video hadn't been acting like a perv before they started filming? Can anyone of you say you know the full truth behind this video? No. You just assume that the cops are trying to harrass this guy for no reason. What if he had a gun or knife? I bet you would want the cops to be there then. How do you know he didn't just proposition some young girl or rub himself against someone or have a warrant? For people that claim they want to be inclusive, some of you are pretty judgemental against the police, particularly when you don't know the facts.
I was that man.. Just kidding, But for real if that had been a gorgous young lady in the same scenario, would the cops have tazed and tackled her? And even more so, would anyone else have joined her in her birthday suit for support? Or just stood and watched them take her down?

the dude was a naked wizard tripping! people have witnessed this and said he did nothing (other than showing his vanilla tootsie roll) wrong.
Cops are not cops to protect anyone cops are people who want control so bad that they took a profession that allows them to do whatever they want.
Really? I do not like cops as much as the next guy, but seriously? Do you know the laws in California or at Coachella? Is it against the law to be naked? If it is against the law, than these cops were doing their job, what we pay them to do, enforce laws we create. If this guy was not obeying the law(a law I disagree with), then he needs to learn to respect the laws(agree with them or not) or suffer the consequences. Now the big bastard that drop a knee into the naked hippie as he was on the ground, well that pig is a punk and should be kicked in the balls! There are bad cops out there, no doubt, but most cops do an honest day of work. We do not like them because they enforce laws that society(aka US) created, that we do not agree with. If you do not like the laws, write your congressman. Telling people to "rush the cops", well that is just plain stupid.

Yeah your right. I was just ranting. I would never rush the cops. I fear the cops. The most I've encountered was a seat belt ticket.
Although I quoted you walls, my post was meant for many others. As a socitey we are funny, we complain(being arrested 4 times, I know I have) about the cops and how we do not like them, but when we need one and they are not around, boy do we get upset.

In this situation, the person was absolutely out of his mind on NO NO WORD!!!. Most of us have been to plenty of shows, festivals, etc. and know he was probable harmless. However, he was breaking several laws and in his state, could have become a threat to public safety. I'd rather see him get tased then hear that he ran around for hours slapping people with his ding dong.
You gotta look at it from a law enforcement prospective. He was a high risk case and they felt they needed to deal with him. They probable shouldn't have tased him but blah. That's pretty much protocol now (For officer protection).

It's actually very easy to tell the difference from someone that just wants to be naked and someone that is high and decided to take his clothes off and be weird.
This guy in the video and other video's from festivals clearly falls under the 2nd category.
