Just made it in from Kentucky and am sitting in my hotel room watching weather updates and coachwood webcast. If any locals or fellow refugees want to hang out post a reply here.
I'm worried tonight is going to be a bust for you guys... hopefully you all will have better luck tomorrow evening. If not, there's a lot going on in Nashville like the Nashville Film Fest, plus Record Store Day. Grimeys (on 8th ave) and ThirdMan are both going to happening places tomorrow.

I ended up at third man in a line for 4 1/2 hours today to buy some rsd vinyl. It was a good way to kill time before the Jerry lee Lewis show that ended up getting cancelled unfortunately. Well not cancelled exactly but postponed until 1:00 tomorrow afternoon but I still had to head home where I arrived safely a couple hours ago. Now back on the coachella webcast and hoping to make it to 3 or 4 am in order see arcade fire. It's a good schedule between now and then plus I brought home some fat tire (can't get it in ky) though that later element could work either way toward my being able to stay awake and attentive.

Too bad I am going to go down to the JLL show this afternoon to tailgate and see if I can hear much from outside.

Weather was in fact the official reason but I can't help but suspect JLL might have been too drunk to do a concert that was going to be recorded. He either was described or declared himself to still follow a fifth of Jack daily routine in an interview I read sometime last year so I suspect Third Man might have cried foul over that and then decided to cover their bases by scheduling the make up show much earlier the next day. How did that turn out to be JHO? Even though they refunded me my money for the recording I had pre-ordered they said they would still comp one for me so I should be getting it in about 4-6 weeks. Just wondered what to expect from it. Also, definitely yes...we will have to hang out when I come around again. I haven't completely given up hope on catching U2 this July and while the booking at the Ryman has been pretty hot, there still hasn't quite been anyone I'd be willing to drop $100+ to cover a ticket and the gas to get down there but I don't doubt it's bound to happen sooner or later.
I didn't make ti to the JLL show, but Jess watched it from across the street. I heard it was fantastic.
If you make it to the U2 show, Druid and I will be there! So we will def have to meet up.
I read on the Ryman's facebook (or twitter, can't remember which) that they have some good concert announcements coming up in the next few weeks. We'll cross our fingers that they are actually good and not crap

The JLL show was a lot of fun but kinda short (50mins). I stood about ten feet from Jack White for most of the show. I was glad to get a chance to see Steve Cropper. He is an awesome musician.

Third Man shows are always short since the live album is a straight recording of the concert. They try to keep them close to 40 minutes so the sound quality on the vinyl record is as good as possible.
