what i dont understand about this is that it seems you would miss most of the festival doing this. do you still have to buy a ticket to get into roo on top of the fee for biking? theres nto that much traffic to get in on saturday anyway so if you are going to go in on saturday you could just drive???
i am as confused over this as i am over the tent rentals but i thought id let you know

Yeah, this seems like a good idea and poor execution. As a day parker, I can attest to the fact that the traffic is not bad on Saturday since the campers are mostly all in by then. It's even sounding a little like they're not going to the festival at all, or at least like it's an after-thought "camp at a local plot a couple of miles from the festival site, and then either bike back or hitch a ride from Roo Ride organizers."
I've actually considered biking the last leg of the trip, especially on Thursday. My cousin (whom I stay with during Bonnaroo) just lives a few miles away and as someone who commutes on a bike 4 miles each way daily, it's not much of an issue to me. My only hesitation was riding back to her place late at night in a city that probably isn't that used to bike riders to begin with. I guess it wouldn't matter much, "Dead" doesn't quite describe how quiet it is in Manchester at 3am.
