I live in Springfield VA and I will be renting a car to get to Bonnaroo. I will be leaving NOVA in the late morning (10am-12pm timeframe) and arriving late on the night of Saturday June 4th in order to camp at Walmart and be in town for our Pre-fest Volunteer check in the next day.
Anyone interested in splitting cost for car rental and gas? I'm looking for 3 people plus me for a full car. I am willing to pick you up along the way if you're off I-66 or I-81 or whatever, or if you're coming from points north (NY / Philly / Bmore) we can meet at a metro for easier transportation for you.
Please PM and post here!
All up it should be about $175 per person; that's for the rental car and gas, both ways. I carpooled last year with a bunch of people from these boards and I've taken a ton of roadtrips so I'm a seasoned veteran of longhauls (my longest single drive was 27hrs without stopping for anything other than gas and the bathroom). I have positive points on my license, etc, etc, so don't worry about it!
PS:: If YOU'RE interested in driving and are looking for another passenger, please get in touch! I'm willing to change my plans so long as you ask before I have promised my chauffeuring abilities to others =)
Just wondering if you were still planning on driving down from DC. I was going to go with my friends when they were done with their Phish shows but they're taking a smaller car now. I would be flying in from Toronto to Newark and then probably taking Amtrack if that works. I'm a 22 yr old student at University of Toronto and this will be my first time volunteering at Roo.
