Another year, another amazing Bear Creek line-up. I do hope this is the year I make it back to the Spirit of Suwannee for my first Bear Creek. Who else is making it this year?

I certainly intend to be back for my 5th Bear Creek this Fall. I can't imagine a better way to close out the festival season. ;D And maybe I can do MagFest again this year too.
Hey y'all. Just finding out about this fest actually through a group I just discovered at the Hangout Music Festival that will be playing here too. It's actually the only group I know that's playing but I'm always up for new music, that's a big part of why I go to these fests.
So I went to the website, but I didn't really find much info about the lodging? Is there a State Park it's on and I can get camping area? I will google some too, but wanted to get the question going here too 'cause Inforooers are the best!
Pajara, Bear Creek is at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park (<----Click it). Multiple festivals are held here every year, Wanee, Blackwater, and Bear Creek to name a few. Camping is first come first serve. Mostly you are camping in the woods, among the trees. There are some open fields that are setup to camp in, but most camping is in the woods, among the trees. Beer Creek is a smaller festival, which I enjoy. I went to BC last year for the first time and I loved it! You will too! ;D Showers are available, they are cold, there are some toilets that flush, there is a convenience store (reasonable priced), I think there is an actual bar on site, not just a place to get beer, but a bar. Who you wanting to check out?

SUP SCROG, had a blast at hangout. one of my buddies best friend is one of the higher ups at bear creek and he said that they will be adding Trey Anastasio to this lineup pretty soon. im gonna try my best to go. heard it is really cool.
Thanks Scrog. Yeah I found it all. Now just waiting for the next paycheck to get some tix to this and maybe the Blackwater one too. The venue looks awesome. For Bear Creek I am interested in Beats Antique. They were awesome at Hangout, I had never heard them before. And then at Blackwater it'd be Flaming Lips and Ghostland Obs.
But I can't wait to hear lots of new stuff. And I love camping. Just not out in an open field with no shade in the middle of a hot, dry, TN summer. LOL
Last year was great. Maceo, Fred and Pee wee(James Brown's brass section) with Lettuce...Wow! Dont forget that the headliner is announced on June 1. Dig it!
Along with the Trey Anastasio Band being added, George Porter and the Runnin' Pardners were added. Plus they announced second shows for a lot of bands.

I think I'm gonna be there! I saw some pics of the venue and it looks beautiful. I wonder if there are volunteer opportunities, and if it'll be too cold to swim in that river in November...
Just bought my ticket, course had to do payment plan still recovering from the roo. Hopefully this time I can meet up with everyone. So over slept Friday morning and missed the brunch
So: the wife and I are scoping out Bear Creek. We're both 42 and as much fun as Roo is for us, we'd also enjoy a somewhat older and more laid-back crowd, as well as more comfortable camping in a more natural setting. I hear Bear Creek has all this. Any beta for us?
The campgrounds that Wanee, Bear Creek, Blackwater, 311 Pow-Wow, and various others are on the Spirit of Suwannee Campgrounds. A place I tell everyone, outside of Bonnaroo, the best place for a festival.
Very laid back, very chill. The crowds for festivals there are not extremely large at all. Every time me and my friends have gone to a festival there, we have had plenty of space to camp. The weather for Bear Creek from what I've been told by friends who have gone is amazing.
Just remember that the campground is state property and is public, so there will be a bit of police presence there. Just be cool, know your surroundings and have fun. You go there once for a festival and you will fall in love and want to come back again and again.
Just got back from SOTSMP! AMAZING!!! Blackwater was beautiful and magical and Bear Creek is going to be the same. I am going to set up(I think Kenny Powers or Laggy can attest for my set up) and light the forest up at night time. Gonna make "cut-throughshort-cut camp" and what I am planning will be talked about all weekend and then some! This past Sunday morning I found myself floating on the banks of the Suwanee river and my mind went places that I can not describe, what comes of that will be expressed at Bear creek. I am not saying I am going to have the coolest and most bad-ass camp ever, but I will say you are gonna want to experience this! ;D
