We always bring this drip coffee maker and use it with a propane gas stove. It takes a bit of time to heat and drip, but the coffee tastes like home. Plus, no grounds like with a perc.

ps - last year, I tried a new trick: I brewed extra-strong coffee, added cream to make it into my usual latte, then poured it into several ice cube trays & put the frozen cubes in some small plastic bags. The frozen latte cubes kept stuff in my cooler cold, and when it started to thaw, I enjoyed a deliciously refreshing ice-cold 'Roo-puccino!
i bought two of these little cups that plug into your cigarette lighter in your car. they heat a thermos full of water in seconds. perfect for ramen or coffee or even to add to some other water for washing. i got them at seirra trading post and i have been really pleased with them

This is a horrible beer and tastes nothing near coffee, I'd have a mikkellers beer geek breakfast.
Anyone know how much caffeine is in espresso vodka? Maybe that'dbe a good substitute.
The Van Gogh double espresso has about 10 mg per 50ml which would be about 25%-50% the caffeine of the same amount of regular brewed coffee. It tastes amazing but you'd have to drink a hell of a lot to get a good amount of caffeine from it. About 5-10 shots would put you at about half a cup of coffee, and me under a tree somewhere.
As a daily coffee drinker since I've been about 15, I was extremely worried about the coffee situation. We decided on the instant stuff from Starbucks and heating water on the grill for it- not great, but it would get the job done. The first day we put on the water... while we waited we opened a few beers and passed one around. We forgot about the water and never tried again. The other items make you forget about the coffee...
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
^ Same happened to us at AG. Water was warming up, some one stopped by with bloody marys and we quickly gave up on the java. I can't believe I am saying this, but I am not packing coffee this year.

I think I'm going the VIA route. Does that make okay ice coffee, for those of you who don't hate ice coffee on principle? I don't love it but I don't mind it. I waas gonna bring a teapot to heat water on my charcoal grill while making breakfast, but honestly I don't see myself working a charcoal chimney before I get some caffeine in me.

I don't really do Iced Coffee but I have to have my regular coffee. Via is okay it's quite strong and the cinnimon one is pretty good too. I'm just not sure how I'll get hot water in the AM. I don't really have the extra cash to spend on a water warmer dohicky but I suppose I can keep my eye out for one yardsaling and thrifting. If I get really lucky maybe someone near me will have a way to make coffee and I can get a morning cup from them. Good idea about bringing the resturant creamers.

i love the levels of genius spewing from this sista
I've decided to just make a batch or two of Thai coffee, before we leave. I don't really like Iced Coffee but this is always a treat. Anytime you add sweetened condensed milk to sugar and espresso ... Sure it'll rot your teeth out and you may not be able to fit into those pants you bought, but it's heaven.
