When you drive in. Set your gps to a Manchester address. You'll probably go down some back roads. But you'll get to the ilne coming in from Manchester as opposed to the giant highway clusterfucks. I've done it both years i've gone, coming through Manchester around 7 or 8 in the morning on Thursday and I've always been in by 10 am.
Not sure where to put this but in today's Tullahoma newspaper (local to Roo)they had an article that said the gates will open Weds. at 3pm.
THANKS for this.
We're coming from Minneapolis, so it's a bit of a hike, departing Tuesday evening around 7pm and hoping to crash at a motel in St. Louis before heading out to the farm Wednesday morning. Last year we arrived and saw an unbelievable line snaked along the highway, so we tried this other entrance that ended up taking us in this huge circle through the gravely backroads of East Bushy Branch road for an hour into the promised "shorter" line.
Does anyone have a certain address/landmark that you plug into Google maps to take you to the most desirable entrance?

Just make sure you're on highway 24, you will see signs for bonnaroo telling you what to do.
Is there any sort of map that will show the entrances in relation to the map of the whole farm itself?
Does anybody have any sort of cross street or landmark or address that is close to the Bushy Branch entrance? Looking at the farm overhead via Google maps really leaves me clueless.
For people who have been put in Camp Adrien in the past: what entrance did you use?
Leaving from Miami to Atlanta tomorrow afternoon. Wednesday than heading to the farm. Any suggestions on what time would be best to get there and what time the gates open?

Gates "open" at 8pm Wednesday but probably will open by 5. Get there Wednesday night?

There is a map thread here somewhere, and if you have an Android (a supported one - it doesn't support some perfectly good and even high-end devices, perhaps due to lazy or poor development, grrr, a pet peeve of mine) or iOS device the app has a map you can zoom in and out on. The West entrance is near New Bushy Branch Rd. and Powers Rd, the East one is at New Bushy Branch and Shedd Rd., and there's the makeshift highway tollbooth right off of I-24, between exits 111 and 114.
Arrival times and tollbooth cannot be used to predict where you will be sent to camp with any reliability, as it depends on the day's traffic, the weather, and how many people beat you in, and they tweak things every year. Last year I arrived at the same entrance at roughly the same time as in 2012 and 2011 and was sent to a completely different part of the farm, and my experience is not especially unique. You pretty much have to just get there whenever you want, earlier if you want to get camp set up before dark Wednesday, later if that works better for you, and just hope for the best. The only consistent thing I've seen is that the lines are reasonably short and quick if you go to the East entrance as soon as it opens Wednesday afternoon/evening. If you come later or to other entrances, it is a crap shoot, everyone likes to say.
Last year, someone did everyone a great service by creating one of these maps. I haven't seen one of these posted yet either here or on Inforoo and we're around a month out, so I wanted to get this going again.
At the link below, please add a location on the map and detail your arrival gate, time, and any other notes that you want to share:

that's the only one that would be placing people way out in BFE though, right? I think we did that one last year and ended up somewhere towards the middle. This year I want to try our luck with the West entrance. I feel like the highway one is the one that has the longest line.
Since the West and the highway entrances are so close, do their lines run parallel at one point or something? Seems like it might be confusing to know which entrance you're getting in line for when you can't actually see the entrance, just a line of cars that is 2 miles long. Thanks for the advice.

In "Description," leave any other notes that will help others out.
Also, make sure to leave a colored marker to let others know what gate you entered through:
RED for West Tollbooth (Bushy Branch)
YELLOW for Highway Tollbooth (I-24)
BLUE for East Tollbooth (Shed Road)
Thanks everyone! Hopefully this will all give us a better idea of when and where to arrive.
Hmm, interesting map, thanks! Only thing is, I don't know how reliable the colored markers are as far as corresponding to a particular tollbooth, since some of them don't seem to make a lot of sense.
And the link doesn't work as is - gotta take the ) off the end.

My two cents:
I've always rolled in around 3 or 4 on Thursday, and have always had a nice spot not too far out, but not too close. They tend to not pack everyone in as closely, and I've never waited in traffic to get into the campgrounds (using the highway tolls). Yeah, I miss some tunes on Thursday, but we usually get into Centeroo by 6pm and get our weekend started. If that's you deal (re: hate traffic, don't mind missing music early Thursday), I'd recommend that approach.

The address I put in my GPS is 696 New Bushy Branch Road, Manchester TN. The GPS says I've arrived slightly before (west of) the tollbooth, maybe 1/4 mile off. But by then the adrenalin rush is overcoming all logic anyway! Hu
I've always come from Atlanta the past 7 Bonnaroo's, but this year the wife and I will be coming down from Nashville today. Is there a way to get to the East Tollbooth coming from Nashville? Or will we have to go past Roo and circle back around?

Is the East Tollbooth the Highway Tollbooth? If so, and you're coming from nashville, you just have to keep going east past the festival for like 10 miles until you can find a median or exit that isn't blocked off. Then, drive the 10 miles BACK to the highway tolls. They block off every local exit (except for locals), so as to not have the highway tolls be a complete nightmare.

That would be the West one, I was looking for the Bushy Branch one

Ah. My apologies. I've used West 3 times (counting tomorrow) and East once. I'd say more about it, but I honestly stumbled upon it and have no idea how to get back there again.

Fair enough, thank you for the replies regardless. Love your avatar and handle by the way. A shade of darker black

IN 2013, the line was so backed up that we were directed off I24, we said no, that we were alright waiting in the line and were threatened if we did not turn off to the back entrance. Is there any advice or tricks to getting in the line??

2013 was different; Wednesday around six or seven pm a semi flipped on its side at the wrong exit. It happened about a half mile in front of us. We had to get off the freeway on country roads for about an hour. Still got there and was grinning like an idiot.
Then later, there was a horrific accident on I24 to tie things up more.
After hearing about that accident, the wait didn't bother me that much.

In 2013 we were able to get off at the exit with the Wal-Mart. However, last year they blocked that exit off completely except for local traffic. Is this a regular occurrence? We spent almost an hour figuring out how to get to the Wal-Mart as well.
The last 2 years we've gone we were volunteers which means we had to get to the farm by Tuesday to check in. So we haven't had to wait in line to get in since 2007. It's still months away and I'm already getting anxiety about getting stuck in BFE! Any tips/new strategies?
