I don't know about you folks, but I find a good chair back at the campsite can make or break your non-Centeroo chill. I hate cheap plastic crap like this:
I'd rather sit on the ground than sink into one of those jabby, uncomfortable pieces of Leno. I bought a sweet wooden-armed chair back in 2007, and after one too many Roos, it bit the dust last year. So I set out to find a solid, comfortable and affordable chair for Roo X.
Behold:
I ordered this from cabelas.com on a whim, and it just came today. From a chair standpoint, this is going to be the sweetest Roo ever. I highly, highly recommend picking up one of these bad boys while they are still on sale. I think I can pull off sleeping in one of these too -- with the full recline option, it's practically a portable hammock! And most importantly, it offers great back support for after those "standing around watching bands for 14 hours" days.
Am I the only person who feels this strongly about Bonna seating?

carson, i saw those chairs at bass pro shop. they are great, and i was about to buy one when i realized i got some out of shape Roo virgins who will most likely be assed out back at the camp most of the time and I would probably end up buying it almost exclusively for them to use it... so i opted against it. however, i am looking for 1 semi-collapsible chair that has a small desktop or some way to have an accessible flat surface.
but this is my best friend at bonnaroo:
mine has lasted through 4 Roo's so far and is still good as new. very durable. I have probably slept in my papasan more than a tent at all my Roo's.
^^ i had one of those (until its proper owner took it back) and it really made a huge difference in campsite comfortability.everyone in my group took turns sitting on the throne as opposed to the cooler, ground or lesser chairs. as long as it wasn't abused, we followed the pass-whoever-is-in-the-awesome-chair-whatever-they-want-so-they-dont-have-to-move rule.
i hate when those cheapo chairs dig into the back of my leg--right around the knee. that'll stay with you throughout the day.
Those chairs are great I highly recomend them. When It got to hot too sleep in my tent I'd get into my chair under the ez-up and nap for a couple more hours.
If you do get one though keep in mind the other people in your camp will wan to sit in it, so be prepared to share. There were a few times when I was tired/cranky and just want to lounge out but one of my friends had snagged the chair. Its one of those things where if you pay the extra money for it and bring it you want to use it, but at the same time nobody wants to be the two-year-old in the group that can't share: "hey get out of my chair! It's MINE!"

Only two of us in our car... two recliners. ;D I may consider letting a visitor crash out on this though
IF the wife isn't in it first. Snagged this exact one from Kmart for $40. (Packaged marked as clearance; got it home and it was broken. Took it back and explained that the other ones weren't marked as clearance so I would just pay the difference, but she said "No worries" and let me get a new one for the same $40) She didn't have to do that and I wasn't expecting it really. Yay, Kmart!
I'd love to bring a couple zero gravity chairs, but I don't think I'll have room. My car is going to be packed full. I guess I'll have to deal with the cheapies from the first post.
OK...new guy question. What is the restriction on chairs in centeroo? Obviously I wouldn't want Jay Leno himself setting up an umbrella chair right in front of me! I have a couple of those low backpack chairs like shotglass has a pic of, are those alright in centeroo? Thanks!
