Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

Hey guys, felt I needed to chime in here. Myself and the Moogfest folks are keeping an eye on this "pumpkin-gate". We are aware of this situation and will talk this over as a team once midnight rolls around.
Frank, it's not all about the hits for us. It's about the fans and creating fun, engaging activities for them to get them excited leading up to the festival. This is the first year for this contest and we will definitely make the rules more clear for next year. We always do everything with the fans in mind first and this situation will be no different.
Do you really want a goldfish abusing pumpkin to win? Sure he was let back into the wild, but for 10 whole minutes he was tortured. Maybe even water-boarded. He'll be traumatized for the rest of his goldfish life.

I know and I completely understand. I was just really really excited when I was chosen to be in the final 6 and have a shot to go to Moog for free. (My budget is a little low). Then I realized that I would have to use external factors and highly promote my image to keep up with the competition, in which I was way to late to do. I also know this is impossible to figure out how to run the contest on facebook without some kind of way to skew the numbers. But you guys have done a good job making the user experience super fun and watching you guys promote it has been exciting. Sticker for third?

I'm not bitter but if I ever meet that goldfish in public it's on! I of course would like to win but Maynard along with other ppl on here have been great. My friends and family (here and IRL) have reposted over 30 times and I've gotten over 300 votes and that just blows me away. I didn't even have to promise to give anyone anything (except Maynard and I won't go there). I can't wait for moogfest!!
Nah, she just texted me that she didn't win. You will be happy to know that you missed out on multiple people who either: A) only knew Ghostland, or B) wanted to know if Darlene Conner was there, or C) did not know a single act on the line-up
So true. There were 5 people sitting around talking about Moog (MOOOOOOOG they said) and none of them knew any of the acts. One asked if Skrillex was going to be there. One dude took out his phone googled it and said, "OH! I know Ghostland." Oy oy oy
On a good note I met probably 5-6 really cool people there. One will be doing art and makeup for some of the moogfest artists. Another couple people went last year and 3 of us noobs, who didn't get to go 2010, hung on everyword of their descriptions. I'm pretty confident that those who did win weekend passes tonight would put them to good use. Of course that's just me making judgements on the way they were dressed : /
