We're thrilled to announce that Brian Eno will be bringing two more amazing features to Moogfest 2011: 77 Million Paintings and one of his infamous "Illustrated Talks." Can't fucking wait. I'm thinking probably Portishead and Animal Collective towards the top. I wouldn't be surprised if they waited until after Bonnaroo to unveil the lineup, just as they did last year.
Think I might try and do this, if I can save enough while in school. Will be dependent on the lineup, but if it's anythin' like last year I know it'll be great!

Hotels. It takes place in downtown Asheville in assorted venues.

You can camp too though. Asheville has a lot of camping right outside the city, and there's plenty of info on how to do it on the main site. At least it was there a year ago when I was planning my trip.

You could conceivably camp, but Asheville at night in late October can get pretty chilly. Not to mention its much more convenient if you are just staying downtown, rather than commuting in everyday.

Exciting stuff. Shit Robot is a great suggestion, and a throw in a James/Pat Special Disco Version set as well. Hell, why not just let DFA take over the Orange Peel. They've got their own tent at Hard Summer and Bisco Inferno.
Along with that, some other acts that seem plausible that I'm hopeful for...
Trentemoller (rumors of a fall US tour) Cut Copy Flying Lotus Battles
Also, Apparat's new full band live tour sounds amazing. Would be a perfect fit for Moog. Really hope they get him.
