Kinda weird situation but my friends are all driving in from NY on Wed. night and I cannot leave NY until Thurs afternoon. Due to the crazy cost of flights into Nashville, I'm flying into Birmingham, AL And renting a car thend riving up to 'Roo. Since my friends will already be in there and set up and I don't feel like waiting in line, is there anywhere I can park the rental car for the weekend and just walk in to meet my friends?
I don't know what the deal is with day parking, but being that shows go from noon till 4-6 AM, I would imagine there is no time the day parking lot is "closed." I'd imagine it's possible that you could just leave it there, but I would check before making that your plan.

If you can't leave NY until Thursday afternoon, and then you've got a flight and a drive, it seems like you'll be getting in late enough that there wouldn't be much wait to get in. So like mokane said, I would just drive in the normal way and just leave your car at your "campsite" to go meet up with your friends.
All of the above are good options. I often leave my car at Walmart for days when meeting friends to travel together. And just getting in line for a camp site is fine and your neighbors will appreciate being able to use your space.
But I like the Day Parking idea. Day parking is open all hours and you'll have access to your car should you forget something or want to charge your phone or just store something out of the way or need to make a beer run. And maybe the line would be shorter since few people Day Park on Thursday (don't know about this though.)

assuming you dont plan on leaving and coming back at all.... i would just go in and have them park you at a campsite. that seems pretty simple and worry free. just remember where your car is!
