how to get my baggage to bonnaroo!?

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to get my baggage into bonnaroo? Part of my trip requires me taking megabus, which looks like it has pretty strict baggage requirements.. a bag whose height, width, and length equals is 61 inches or less, plus a "small carry-on" of unknown dimensions. Now 61" seems pretty small, I can only imagine the carry-on restriction.

Anyone have any experience with megabus and are they a little more lenient than what they say? I've contemplated buying an extra ticket, but I'm not sure they'll allow me to store stuff in the seat, or just allow me 1 extra bag, its definitely something I'm going to ask them, but it could easily add another $100 to the trip.

I'm not planning on bringing much really, but 61" isn't much at all. I was going to fill my backpack with a like a pack of new socks, deoderant, toothbrush, camelback, sunscreen, 2 pairs of shorts, a couple t-shirts, 1 pair of jeans, sweatshirt, extra cell-phone battery.

But then I've got my tent, 2 cots, and 2 sleeping bags, plus my friends bag of crap.

Also, I'm sure its been posted here and I will look, but how is getting into bonnaroo on foot? A real bitch? Any carts or anything available nearby? Also anywhere within walking distance to get booze, water, food, maybe a styrofoam cooler?

If there's a reliable way to get my ish down there I'd pack a little heavier/more prepared but nothing too insane. Even carpooling sounds like it could be a pain with our stuff and theres, but then again we could share a lot of stuff and pack light.

Just how has your experiences with packing and everything been?

And is it really true that the first people there get the worst sites? We'll prolly be waiting at the gate for a few hours by 7pm on wednesday.. just the way it looks our timing will be.
