Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I keep seeing ads for this on TV, but haven't seen it mentioned on Inforoo yet - has anyone else heard about this? Bonnaroo and the Art Institutes have teamed up on some projects to help improve the festival. Some of them are just internships and some are just for the artists, but a few of them benefit all of us - they're building a shade structure, so that already makes them alright in my book!
From the AI website:
Graphic Design: Capturing the creative spirit of the festival, Graphic Design students will create original designs for an exclusive festival poster, artist-specific poster, and t-shirt to be sold online as well as at merchandise locations onsite.
Interior Design: Selected students will design a lounge trailer with a comfortable and creative atmosphere for Bonnaroo artists. For this project, Interior design students are encouraged to think beyond traditional tables and chairs to create a truly unique and relaxing vibe for the talent.
Industrial Design: Our tech-savvy design students will be creating an eco-friendly shade structure to keep festival-goers cool and protected while keeping in mind the unique, artistic aesthetic of the festival.
Advertising Design: The young advertising minds of The Art Institutes will implement a grassroots marketing program utilizing social media, music blogs, and artist sites. Students will also design interactive web banners to promote the festival.
Video Production: Media Arts students will work on a project to develop, edit, and produce an original, conceptual Bonnaroo 10th Anniversary promotional video to be showcased at bonnaroo.com as well as on YouTube and other social media sites. In addition, another student videographer from The Art Institutes will capture the events and energy at the festival.
Animation & Special Effects: Showcased on the two large Main Stage screens at the festival, selected students will create an animated piece under two minutes in length that visually captures the thrilling spirit and meaning of Bonnaroo.
Web Design: Art Institutes interactive students will design and program a microsite that aligns with the aesthetic theme of Bonnaroo. The site will overview the partnership between The Art Institutes and Bonnaroo, as well as showcase the student work for the festival.
Photography: One Art Institutes student will be selected to be an official photographer to capture the festival’s events, including Art Institutes students who are installing their projects at Bonnaroo.
Audio Production: Imagine working at Bonnaroo’s mixing board. An Art Institutes Audio Production student will find themselves doing just that as they learn alongside professionals recording the performances.
Video Production: How do you tell the story of Bonnaroo? One student videographer from The Art Institutes will have an opportunity to capture the events and energy at the festival.
Fashion Design: Using only organic materials for this project, select fashion students will develop an eco-friendly fashion line that will be featured as part of the onsite Bonnaroo Fashion Show. The clothing will be sold at a silent auction after the show, where all proceeds will be donated to a selected charity.
Fashion Design (Specialty): Additional Art Institutes fashion students will design a Bonnaroo-branded specialty apparel item. As opposed to the traditional festival hats and t-shirts, fashion students are encouraged to think creatively for this project and design a specialty item to be sold onsite and online.
Culinary Arts: Our top culinary students will plan and prepare an original menu featuring a variety of dishes that will be served to various artists as well as backstage crew members.
That's pretty bad ass, just like in music you've never heard of your favorite artist. I love seeing student work as it's always rewarding to watch an artist grow as the years pass and they gain more notoriety. I'm pumped to see all these guys work.
I was lying in a burned out basement With the full moon in my eyes. I was hoping for replacement When the sun burst thru the sky. There was a band playing in my head And I felt like getting high.
The video was posted somewhere in the middle of a thread- perhaps one about shade or keeping cool? Either way, I'm ALWAYS up for more shade and applaud the AI involvement
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
I am really excited to see what the AI's have in store for us. Any kind of shade structure would be a Godsend. It also could serve multiple purposes if it lights up at night.
