I was thinking about getting this but cant seem to find any reviews on it. I was wondering if anyone had this or any insight on Wenzel products, Anything would be great, thanks!
I have a Wenzel tent and it is the best tent I've ever owned. It's lasted 20 years with no rips and is the easiest tent I own to put up. From my personal experience, I highly recommend Wenzel products.
wenzel is good quality stuff. we have one of their more circular versions of this same basic design and well-staked and guyed out, it withstands anything.
however, three things to consider:
in GA car camping, the 12x12 can be a little bit of a squeeze in some situations. usually ok, a little tight in others. have had less issues at 'roo than some other fests.
the sloped design will let a LOT of rain in if it rains and provide generally less protection from sun, etc. -- that specific items looks to have some pretty steeply sloped sides and very little for s solid top
the sloped design also leaves you with a lot less usable space than it might seem. You lose a good 1-2 feet all the way around, at least,
all that said, the 6-sided version similar to this we have has stood up like a beast in very bad weather and is pretty nice. we just found these three issues to be significant enough we decided this year to switch to a 10x10 canopy.
But I've heard voices not in the head Out in the air they called ahead Through ripped out speakers Through thick and thin They found a shelter Under my skin -Evgeny Aleksandrovitch Nikolaev
I got a Wenzel tent a few years back for 10KLF, loved it! It thunderstormed one night, we're talking a torrential downpour, no leaks at all!!! Best tent I've ever had!
