How cool would this be if Steven Colbert was really going to go through with his pledge for presidency and he went to the roo for campaigning. They would be accecpted pretty well at the roo, and other festivals, but they would get a lot of support. Also it would be cool to have them tape a few live shows from there and have it on Comedy Central the next week. This was just a brain fart I had at work and thought of how cool it would be see them. Spread the truthyness!
"That's the big thing about education. People can be book smart, but not really intelligent about anything else. A lot of times they just taking in all this information and regurgitate it. It's much more important to process it and personalize it. To apply it to your world, to your life. You have to walk the walk, or you can't really report about it honestly."
That would be great. Hell, I'd vote for Colbert. I know he and Stewart say we shouldn't get our news from them. But what they don't understand is they are the only ones we TRUST for our news!

But I could see Superfly booking him for a couple appearences, especially considering how they'll probably do another "Rock the Vote" campaign like the one in 2004.

that's an awesome idea.. in fact, I'm going to write to Superfly & Stephen Colbert and DEMAND it, hahaha.. just him being there would make Roo even more memorabe!

Nov 2 2007 3:17 PM EDT If Stephen Colbert Can't Get On A Presidential Ballot, Who Can?
Running for president isn't as easy as it might seem.
By Gil Kaufman
"He may have had millions of built-in supporters around the country, but one glaring reality kept the Stephen Colbert for President train from gaining any steam: You can't win if you're not on the ballot.
Yes, we found out Thursday that Colbert's bid to get on the ballot in his home state of South Carolina was rejected by the state's Democratic Party because it didn't consider him a legitimate candidate."
