If you have you wristband on already will they still let you in? On the Bonnaroo forums, i think it's a bunch of jokers, but people keep saying you will be turned away. Any truth to this?
Edit: yes I put it on already. I am flying in and would rather have it on then lose it.
By the way, it feels fine indoors, but it sticks to your wrist in the heat.
psyched .... suggestion - bring your confirm email with you. Expect to experience some delays because its on already. Have a really funny story as to why you HAD to put it on. : ) If its on snug and cant be slipped off hopefully it will go ok and not cause too much of a delay. Good Luck!!

I'll just tell them my brother put it on me when I was sleeping, or passed out during a pre bonnaroo warm up.
And yes it is on tight, i think i may have put it on a little too tight.
Also 100,000 people, I am guessing at least 10% put their wristbands on already aswell.
That was posted 3 hours ago. With how often they are saying not to put them on, I certainly wouldn't chance it.
So am I completely screwed or what? Now i am freaking because I have it on, I am traveling alone, flying down, taking shuttle.
If I get turned away I have no where to go.
Does it make a difference that i did the "register your wristband" thing? I mean I put it in my name, I have I.D. Oh shitake what am I gonna do now, seriously am I done for?
There will be a ton of people that will put their wristbands on first I doubt they will turn you away it may cause delays and I am sure it helps that you registered it.

The nation's literacy rate is at like 97.5% or something, isn't it? I think you're off a bit on that estimate.
If you've seriously put on your bracelet, don't stress it. The damage is done and there's no use worrying. I'm sure they have some sort of plan to handle folks like yourself.

Thanks for making me feel better and calling me stupid at the same time. hehe

In all seriousness, I don't think anyone around these parts knows how they'll handle it. This is the first go around with this method. Maybe the demand to not put on the bracelets is simply for the ease of scanning at entry. A few folks who've bucked the suggestion might be no big deal.
It could ALSO be more of a hassle and delay your entry a bit.
That said, I haven't seen it printed anywhere, that if you've put on your bracelet, you'll flat out be denied entry.
Bring your receipt, be as humble as pie, be willing to go with the dumb ass story. ; ) And if you are not flying tomorrow, Pick up the phone and make some calls. Write down names of who you speak with. Then when you get to the farm.. Jedi mind tricks. YES YES YES -- i KNOW i was not supposed to put this on but my little brother -- he's only 6 - knew i was excited and put it on me while i was sleeping. I talked to (name) (name) (name) - have it written on notes - said it will all be okay. They have your $, they want your patronage, and they do not want to incur the costs of replacing a metric Shiiit ton of bands. Ka-ching.

I think It'll all work out. I mean, I can't be the only who put it on already. And a little delay wont hurt me.
Well I went to a meeting for my volunteer shift tonight. For what it is worth they said they have to be put on and "activated" at the gate, and if it is already on you will be turned away. Take this with as big a grain of salt as you wish, I kind of personally believe in that 10% number as well, but this is certainly what I was semi officially told.
EDIT
Sometimes I screw around on here, but this is 100% what I was told tonight.

There is no way that they will turn people who paid $280 for not following that rule. As stupid as I was putting it on, I don't think Ill be turned away.
If they need the number to activate it, it is still readable if I look under it, also i activated it under my name.
If you agree with my 10% then that means 10,000 people are going to be turned away. That can't happen
Also, you would think on the website it would say something like, "If you put on wristband before entering festival, you will be turned away, no questions asked", it doesnt say anything like that.

Man I am not going to put mine on so I don't care. I am telling you what I was told at a meeting for my shift, and we were specifically told if we had it on already we would not make it in for our shift and this is for staff they probably really want us to show up ya know.
I am telling you this so you can call the customer service at music today and explain what happened. I think that will make your life a lot easier, and you will be one up on knowing what to do. For instance they may send you back to the will call in downtown Manchester, knowing this before a 6 hour wait in line may well be key for you.

It is pretty clear on the website that if you put on your wristband ahead of time it is invalid.

I am flying in and taking the shuttle to the site. So even if they did send me to will call, I wouldn't be able to make it. I am going to call music today, tomorrow to see what I can do.

Friday for common sense! It seems to be lost with the current generation.

I know the guy who's grandma lost his wristbands was taken care of so I imagine they will help you figure it out, it is not like they do not want you to go

Like this? "DO NOT PUT YOUR WRISTBAND ON BEFORE YOU ARRIVE AT THE BONNAROO MUSIC FESTIVAL. Bonnaroo Staff will apply your wristband for you once you arrive at the festival gates. THIS IS IMPORTANT!!! Any wristband applied prior to the festival will be invalid."
that's rough :/ i would absolutely call ahead and verify everything. it can't hurt that it is in your name.. worst case scenario maybe you'll find someone helpful to get the bracelet back off without damaging the pieces it doesn't get "activated" in as much as they don't want you ripping that ish off

I mean, it's on tight, one space tighter and my hand would turn purple. I am gonna call tomorrow, I already sent an e-mail, but I am sure they are pretty busy, so calling is the plan now.
Now I feel sick over this, like I'm going to pass out, I am seriously phisically ill. Like the rest of you guys I spent a lot of money for my trip, and I think my idiot self just ruined it.

So if the guy who had activated his and lost it was ok you should be fine right? I mean worst case scenario cut yours off and lose it, but honestly just call it may make your thursday more of a pain in the ass than usual but you will get in, and probably have a good story to tell.
In fact if I remember correctly one of the benefits of registering your wristband was a replacement service if it was lost so you should be good. I do not know all the details but apparently it is not that big a deal and costs 10$.

Yes, I gues I will have a story to tell, an embarrasing one, but aren't those the best ones?.
Once again, I will still call tomorrow to see how I can get this issue resolved. I will still feeel like a huge idiot. (like I do right now)
