I called and the guy said the supervisors just had left for the day. He said I need to call tomorrow a 8am and talk to ticketing.
He said it might be a little harder to get taken care of since I am taking the shuttle and can't get to the will call place.
He then said they will make sure they get me into Bonnaroo.
So, I'm guessing people who arrive with thier wristbands on are pretty screwed, unless they get redirected to will call, and super screwed if they are using the shuttle service and have it on already.
I might post back details again tomorrow, unless you guys are sick of my B.S. And alot of people will probably be gone tomorrow any way. SO thanks to those who helped out, and hahahehe at those who made fun of me.
Well I tried for a nice balance of help and poking fun anyway. Regardless let us know how it pans out a lot of people read this forum but do not sign up so you could certainly be helping someone out.

THE SAGA ENDS........nicely
So I just called again, talked to ticketing support. The guy said as long as it is on tight enough there is no problem and just continue to the festival as normal.
So it's over and I feel better, no thanks to you guys! j/k
To make me feel like less of an idiot by putting mine on, maybe you guys could put yours on?? Mwahahahaha
I went and got my bracelet today and thy had to run it over a scanner thing before they put it on. This activates the bracelet in the system. For us (Local resident int he area that get in free) They scanned our drivers license as well and linked the bracelet to the person.
But yeah, its gonna be tough for them to scan it with it on you. They scan the inside of the bracelet on the rfid.

This is one of the best threads I have ever read on here. It has a beautiful combination of helpful advice and sheer poking fun at the author of the thread and yet it all ended well. I found it hilarious that the fact that a shuttle was being taken was brought up about a dozen times and that people were flabergasted that they did not have a phone!
But...but...he DID have a phone. If you have a computer and an internet connection then you have a phone.
Here's a link to Google Voice, which--when you sign up--gives you free domestic US calling. Very useful in a pinch. (If you have a desktop you might need to snag an external microphone, but those are very cheap.)
So, my wristband came today and I accidentally swallowed it. Do you think they can just scan my belly on the way in or should I attempt to pass it. They're cloth this year, btw, and really pretty, which is why I got so excited.
You know there's going to be more of these "Holy Sh*t, I'm Too Excited To read the Directions" people this year.. can't wait to read about the new eff ups. haha

No need to worry, you'll get it back in a few days
Well I went to a meeting for my volunteer shift tonight. For what it is worth they said they have to be put on and "activated" at the gate, and if it is already on you will be turned away. Take this with as big a grain of salt as you wish, I kind of personally believe in that 10% number as well, but this is certainly what I was semi officially told.
There is no way that they will turn people who paid $280 for not following that rule. As stupid as I was putting it on, I don't think Ill be turned away.
If they need the number to activate it, it is still readable if I look under it, also i activated it under my name.
If you agree with my 10% then that means 10,000 people are going to be turned away. That can't happen
Also, you would think on the website it would say something like, "If you put on wristband before entering festival, you will be turned away, no questions asked", it doesnt say anything like that.
If you're super worried about it, I'd contact them in advance and tell them your deal. It's better than waiting until you get there. Then at least you'll know what to expect.
But yeah, for $280 I wouldn't take no for an answer.
Hey, I can almost vouch for this. I got my two comp bands in today and I was showing it to a nonroo gooer. He through it back at me and the dog jumped in the air and snagged it. I pulled it out of her mouth promptly though. She thought it was a treat I guess. What do you do if your dog eats your wristband? Then, I put mine on. Came within millimeters of actually snapping closed. Instantly thought of this thread though and realized I was being not to smart about the situation at hand.
Ha. This threads funny, I remember being terrified of my wristband snapping in somehow. As many times as the website says "Do not put your wristband on" it had me nervous.
