I love it how this year's "on hold" music between bands on stage played all the same stuff across the festival AND were alot of the same one's for last year. Two years of Bonnaroo has really made me come to appreciate Young MC's "Bust a Move" and Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean" as songs that have sentimental value to me.
Anyone else notice this or noticed it with different songs? And have they been doing this for years years?

While waiting for Bootsy, I heard at least 5 Prince songs. Which is totally cool.

I actually remember hearing Alberta Cross's entire album in between sets last year on what. I believe it was before DMB...... and AC was on the ticket this year?!?! moo ha ha
in 09 I heard Jimmy Cliff songs more than 4 times inbetween/before sets in the tents, and he played in '10. The same goes for Weezy, I heard his songs many times in '10.
I hope that Prince will be the next one to follow this trend, please please please
Britney Spears at the What Stage before Eminem I think it was. I was horrified! I remember Michael Jackson as well. I do love that they play 'Rocks Off' by The Stones almost every year. That jams
I loved the music they played between sets. Specific songs I remember are Queen's "We Will Rock You", Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean", Ace of Base's "I Saw the Sign", and the best of them all - Def Leppard's "Pour Some Sugar on Me". Honestly, I would be happy if they brought some of those artists to Bonnaroo, I think the festival could use some better hard rock.
I always thought it would be neat if the music in between sets was for bands that were going to be playing later in the festival. Like while you were waiting for Deerhunter they were playing Mumford or Scissor Sisters or something. Just a thought.

AC/DC Aerosmith Bon Jovi Boston Bruce CCR Def Leppard ELO (no longer together though) Foreigner Hootie (I know they aren't hard rock and not touring, but it would still be great to see them) John Mellencamp Kansas Kiss (Really, only because they put on good shows...their music isnt that great) Led Zepp. Skynyrd Poison REO Rolling Stones ZZ Top (maybe)
