i just head about this festival now, it's in philly sept 23-24 and they're initial line up includes The Shins, Girl Talk, Rakim, The Hold Steady, Panda Bear, Elbow, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, and Cults. it seems real cool, has anyone been there in the past or know the price range? tickets go on sale monday
I'm definitely going to this. Tix are 90 bucks for both days right now. 175 for VIP. They go up after Thursday.
Friday The Shins Cage the Elephant Panda Bear Elbow The Hold Steady The Pains of Being Pure at Heart Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. Company of Thieves ...and more
Saturday Pretty Lights Girl Talk Foster the People Rakim Cults Kreayshawn Black Thought & J. Period Mixtape Charles Bradley Titus Andronicus The Vaccines The Budos Band Patty Crash Mates of State Zee Avi Black Landlord ....and more
It's worth the $90 for Charles Bradley alone. I'm hoping they do Single Days as I would love to go Saturday but don't think I swing both days. I may go on and pick up 2 days just in case.

festival has been moved to the liacouras center (at temple university) due to impending weather... everyone check the site for updates and schedule changes.
if you coming into town and need help with septa schedules or directions get at me
Yeah, not sure how I feel about this move to Liacorous. So many questions. How will the schedule look? How are they gonna work out 3 stages worth of bands into that arena? Will there be re-entry? I don't wanna be trapped inside there all day and night.

^^^ yes yes it should be interesting to see how this pans out. all i can really say at this point is I'm glad I'm didn't need to travel and the ticket was cheap
Considering the last minute change to an indoor venue, and the cancelation ??? of the food trucks, comedians, some acts... it actually didn't turn out too bad.
The sound quality was decent, security eventually lightened up, and I actually enjoyed the fact that everything got moved to 1 single stage - although the sets were considerably shorter, at least nothing overlapped. Charles Bradley and Cults rocked, I thought Kreyashawn or whatever her name is was absolutely dreadful, and Girl Talk and Pretty Lights did their typical schtick. Watching folks toss glowsticks and eat corn from the balcony level was pretty cool too.
Anyone else see people hopping onto porta-potties in order to get down to the stage level? My buddy was inside one when an adventurous concert-goer hopped on and caved in the roof, good times...
