So our college radio station, WRFL, is hosting this small, cheap, eclectic, arts fest. What a weird, initial line-up they've come up with: Swans, Psychedelic Furs, Pelican, Tom Tom Club, Secret Chiefs 3. More acts to come.

How much does it run? This is a pretty good lineup.

Last year it was $40 for 3 days. Free camping in my backyard. They always focus on experimental throw-backs. Swans should be worth it alone & Pelican just plain rules.
holy cow 40 bucks? definitely gonna be there.. missed David Byrne on the farm in '09 (biggest regret ever) but had to pass him up for Animal Collective. so seeing the Tom Tom Club is like my second chance at almost kind of seeing my favorite band ever (the talking heads)

Looks like Tom Tom club and Psychedelic Furs are on the same ticket for playing Sunday that weekend and for only $20 in advance or $25 day of show. This is seperate from the weekend pass which pretty much gets you into every show including this one. The venue has them available through their website www.bustersbb.com.
so i'm confused.. are the shows at UK campus or at Busters? and where is the camping? if you camp does that mean you'll still have to drive to the venues?
I'm from Lex so i know the area and everything if anyone would care to explain what exactly this fest is a little better

Are the after shows at Cosmic Charlies included in the weekend? Also, Psychedelic Furs have dates in St louis and Chicago on Friday and Saturday so that show at busters on sunday should be included with the festival pass.

So... anyone else attending Boomslang this weekend? I'll be out and about every night. Can't believe they booked Ty Segall at 1 pm on Saturday while I'll be extra-dreading work. That just plain blows.
