It's in my sig but that's only visible in desktop web view, so here's my upcoming list. After a slow start the list has grown a lot in the past six weeks! Some of that is because the Brooklyn Paramount came online, a new venue just a block from home, which makes me happy. This does not include the St. Vincent show that I am getting comped for there, don't know which of September 10 or 11 yet EDIT: Confirmed for September 10! I also look to be spending a lot of time in Queens this summer, lol. Also still eyeing Pearl Jam at MSG (or Philly) in September, got shut out but not giving up hope.

Wow, as soon as they part ways with their drummer who's from suburban Boston, they stop booking Boston shows. I doubt that Boston is one or more of the blacked out dates, since they're not playing any New England festivals to the best of my knowledge and waiting for those to happen before announcing other area shows.
I saw them last year at Roadrunner. I think they were at the Pavillion at some point too.
They are playing some fest in New Hampshire in June. Plus Portland and New Haven.
4/4 bar italia, The Casbah 4/16 Khruangbin, Rady Shell 5/2 Tim Robinson ITYSL Live, Cal Coast Amphitheater 5/10-12 Kilby Block Party, SLC 6/27 Diiv, North Park Observatory 9/21 Cornelius, Music Box 10/11-13 Desert Daze (probably) 11/2 King Gizz (acoustic), Rady Shell

They usually do play a lot of New England dates, since they're from CT. That's why I'm surprised that Boston hasn't been in the mix this year. I'm not saying that they haven't played here in ages, only that they usually work a Boston date in there somewhere...and that part of the reason for the difference this year may be that their former drummer was from the Boston area. Bands usually make a point of playing where friends and family live, whenever possible.

2016 was an aberration because i went to jazzfest, bonnaroo, voodoo, and day for night. surprised to see 2023 actually got me back up to more "normal" shows per year.

This is such a telling commentary on how we handled our first child vs. our second child. My first child was born in spring of 2011, while my second child was born spring of 2015.
big increases came when i graduated college in 2015 then 2022 being my first full concert year in new york, i expect the downward trend to continue but i'm ok with it provided i'm not looking at like, 2 shows a year
edit re: festivals, these numbers count a day of a festival as a show, any more granular takes more time than i feel like right now
This is total number of bands seen. My made-up rule is I need half the set to count it as having seen them. 2024 (4) 2023 (155) 2022 (173) 2021 (109) 2019 (146) 2018 (146) 2017 (190) 2016 (143) 2015 (111) 2014 (69) 2013 (77) 2012 (74) 2011 (41) 2010 (30) 2009 (25) 2008 (12) 2007 (4) 2002 (2) 2001 (1) 2000 (2) 1999 (1) 1998 (1) 1997 (1) 1996 (1)
Bonus points if you can figure out when I got divorced.
Fairly accurate, have added a lot of setlist.fm and I think they all got approved. Despite the covid lull, 2022 came back as my strongest year since 2015. Could easily trendline this data with disposable income for that year
