I was born in Ojai. I recently revisited it only to be treated with an uncomfortably transphobic spa experience (there was a biker bar on highway 33 that treated me much better!). I expect a much better visit to the motherland with Ms. Olsen and her now-fiancee! I know, I'm as sad as you that she's taken but c'est la vie.
Alabama folks (3post1jack1Teddy Flair) and other southern show-goers, anyone been to Avondale Brewing Company in Birmingham? I'm seeing The Flaming Lips there next week and wondering what to expect in terms of the venue, mainly what time the music stops as it looks like an outdoor venue from the pics.
more bands should do this vote for songs thing. I remember another band did it for just 3 tracks, but a whole set is awesome!
Bands should just ask Inforoo what songs to play. If we have already voted on a top 10 for that artist, they don't even need to ask us. It's already done.

I'm going to need some sort of explanation at some point for why just about everyone is routing through the northeast in September. It's getting ridiculous, now.

Just bought a ticket for Spite / Bodysnatcher / Thrown in Nashville @ Eastside Bowl. It's the only date on the tour I can reasonably go to and I have to see it

Incredibly disappointed this isn’t at Red Rocks. Ball Arena sucks

If you got multiple pro sports teams in one building you gotta book almost everything before October. It was a huge pain here in La for 20 years at Staples Center when you had 2 nba teams and one hockey team sharing the building between Oct - April. So from May to Sept you had everything booked as solid as possible. Then during the season you could have tours come through but you couldnt do more than 2 nights. Mostly everyone books the Forum because of it since its just a concert venue and has nothing else happening. ( i just dont like having to go down there ) Now that the Clippers are moving that opens up stuff again in downtown. I want to see whats gonna happen next summer when this city could have 3 arena shows and 3 stadium shows all on the same night. And 3 of those venues are within 2 blocks of each other.

recently won some tickets to see sematary but there were some issues with the will call list and i ended up not getting let in. the place i won the tickets from is now offering me a pair of tix to one of the shows listed below. i’m not particularly into any of these artists but i wanted to gauge what you all thought might be a good call. · Erra · Rev Horton Heat · Frank Turner · Ocean Alley · Little Big · Strung Out · PVRIS · Aquabats · Lawrence

Don’t know half these names but if it was me I’d pick Aquabats or Rev Horton Heat. Either one should just be a dumb fun time
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

Give Lawrence a listen if you've ever enjoyed a Melt or Lake Street Dive song

Aquabats if you want to have non stop fun for an evening.
Got a ticket for Maggie Rogers at the Forum since I was over in El Segundo for work. She's going to have a GA pit split by a runway that looks to go about halfway onto the floor, then seats filling up the other half. Looked like they still had a pretty decent number of those seats available; figured they would have been picked over by scalpers.

Frank Turner
I'll cast another vote for Frank Turner. Might not be everyone's cup of tea, but imagine a really fun night out at a pub and that's basically the experience.
