To be fair all of the Kentucky ones are Cincinnati in everything but technicality
Wow, that was quick. Which means that either a lot of people are treating this as a destination show and traveling to Boston or the secondary market folks went all-in on this. I still contend that there aren't 40K within 60 miles of Boston who'd pay the going rate for a ballpark show to see Lana Del Rey.
(I took a look at seating chart for The Pretenders show at a 5K venue here, and there were a ton of seats available. I then filtered out the resale tickets and there was almost nothing left. If secondary market sellers consistently overestimate market demand for concerts in general and particular artists, and wind up taking loss after loss on their investments, they'll scale back and prices will eventually drop when they become more careful about which shows they invest in.)

So, in general, which secondary market sites are best for landing tickets within a day or two of the show at discounted prices because the sellers want to recoup part of their purchase price rather than lose it all? I'm hoping that I can buy tickets at the last minute for Daryl Hall/Elvis Costello and The Pretenders shows on the cheap.
I'm not surprised it sold out quickly. It's her first non festival show on the East Coast since since before the pandemic.
It's a perfect time of year to make a long weekend of it. Come into town on Thursday for the show, leave on Sunday. A lot of people wait for the 4th of July to travel to town, so there could be some good hotel deals to be had. It's a great time of year to sit harborside and enjoy a hot buttered lobster roll and walk the Freedom Trail.
Not that surprising at all. I saw lots of people traveling to all the random places she was playing last year. The demand is there and she hasn't really been meeting it.
Short notice, NYC folks, but you've got a chance to see one of America's most underrated and enduring rock and roll bands in Brooklyn tonight at Gold Sounds. If a band that triangulates Pavement, David Berman, and Guided By Voices sounds like your cup of tea, don't miss this.
