I wound up receiving presale codes for all three Boston shows, but exercised some self-control and just picked up a ticket to one of the nights. This was around 15 minutes into the presale and there were many tickets available for each of the shows. If I can find something cheap on TickPick at the last minute for another night, I may do a second show.
Eagles added more Sphere nights already. I’m getting the vibe just about any band can sell this thing out. Let’s bring Oneohtrix Point Never. Let’s bring Slint doing Spiderland. Let’s bring in Ganser, my favorite post punk band from Chicago.

I cant believe the fuckin Eagles did this well. the most boring pick possible
Weird that Empire Of The Sun is playing a venue as big as the Hollywood Bowl in LA yet doing King's Theater in Brooklyn which isn't even 3k.
Kings too small, Bowl too big. They need a new booking agent.
I take that back....they can barely sell any tickets even at Kings. They REALLY need to fire their booking agent. Though, perhaps more importantly, they need to actually be relevant again...

I'm sure Bowl sales will do great! Lol.
$1400 after fees for platinum tickets at the Bowl. Who do they think they are.

Their fanbase has money and probably wants to go to the sphere. It's probably not much more than that. I dgaf about the Eagles and would only go if someone gave me a free ticket and I was in Las Vegas which I've never been near there.

I don't know. I've occasionally wondered who does Inforoo thing Empire of the Sun is. I saw them once when they were relevant and it was on the lame edge of "okay."

I’m in Asheville for a few days with the wife and kids. We happened to walk by The Orange Peel and saw that Jenny Lewis is playing tonight, and my wife encouraged me to go by myself, so that’s what I’m going to do. I love stumbling upon a surprise vacation show! My last one was Macy Gray at House of Blues in NOLA in 2003.

I'm going to that show! It's gonna be a good time!

If you see me, say hi! I’ll be the 6’5” bearded guy wearing a red Jason Isbell shirt.

I'm the 6'0" bearded guy in a plain orange shirt and khaki shorts. Not guaranteed to narrow it down in Asheville, but we gotta work with what we got. 😆

I will never get to experience this because if I go somewhere I’m definitely going to know what shows are happening.

Typically, same. That’s why it hasn’t happened for me in over 20 years. I had no plans to hit the town in the evening sans kids, so I didn’t bother seeing who was in town. I feel like maybe my wife is up to something.
