I don't want to turn this into a totally negative thread but having one screen on the Which is still not acceptable. They need two screens on each stage AND tent. This seems like such a no brainer to me, especially considering the quality of the Vevo vids that they put together, they look great. I'd pay another $25 bucks for my ticket. That's about two million per year towards the cause if I can just find 80,000 like minded individuals.

They really do. After seeing what Coachella and Hangout did with video this year, Bonnaroo should be sad bringing up the rear when it comes to technology innovation. Hell after checking out the Glastonbury vids I noticed they even have a screen behind the soundboard on the Pyramid stage. Everybody else just seems to get it.
It did look a little odd with a screen on only one side of Which, but hey, at least it's a start. It was really getting to be a bit of a necessity with the 50,000+ size of some Which crowds in recent years.
Screens in the tents seem unnecessary IMO. I've only been to a very small handful of tent shows where I couldn't get a decent view of the stage.

But how tall are you? I have to get to a show early to be able to see the stage, and even that can be ruined when a pack of bros push their way in front of me. Then all I see are sweaty backs and armpits .

Another screen at the Which stage would be nice. I think it isn't too much to ask to have one screen in each of the tents. I don't think 2 is necessary. They could put the it above/to the side of the stage, or above the soundboard area.
Guilty bump. The screens were awesome and I don't mean to sound like a crybaby whiner but please do something with the sound too. I have no other senses that require anything more I promise.

THIS! I have RARELY had a good view of the stage unless I was extremely close. This has prevented me from actually entering the tent on many occasions. I usually can only see the stage if I step out of a tent and am a good ten feet behind the back of the crowd.
This the same for bigger stages in general. I've long since learned that if I want a "good" spot, there is a strong likelihood that I won't be able to easily see the stage. 2-3 people behind the pit from Primus and I could only see Les by lifting my camera over my head and taking a picture. "Oh! That's what the stage looks like..."
Long story short, super pumped that the screen was there, but Bonnaroo isn't done yet! Hopefully more will come...
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

True, I will grant you that I am indeed a fairly tall drink of water (6'3"). However, because of that, I usually keep towards the back at tent shows anyway. I completely understand your frustration, but I also think that screens tend to depersonalize the whole experience a bit. It's not that I don't want screens at the tents, per se. I think some flatscreen TVs at the back of the tent next to the neon signs would be a welcome addition. I just think there's a lot of other things Roo should probably focus on first.
Besides, if you sneak around the sides, you can usually get a better view than you get way at the back.

^^this. The Which Stage and I have a love-hate relationship for this very reason.

I think this would actually be an "easy" win for bonnaroo. I agree there are probably a lot of things that would be more beneficial but seeing as they already have cameras on all the shows and they are already being telecast into the VIP tents I would think it wouldn't be too tough to put some screens up next to the stage too.
Of course I have no audio/video experience so my idea of "easy" is probably extremely warped.

I could be wrong but maybe not all the tent shows are recorded. I know a lot of them aren't webcast, and sometimes even if a show isn't being webcast it is still being taped by Roo employees (possibly for DVD or something) but if they don't have multiple cameramen working full shows then it would require more money, workers, and effort to have screens on the tent shows.
I'd love to see it happen but don't know if it's worth it to Bonnaroo.
I know for certain that there were tent sets being aired on the screens in the VIP lounges. It is not a matter of whether AC/Superfly can stream these sets live - they can and they do. They just haven't maximized the utility they could get from doing so by installing more screens.
